In March we are ecstatic to welcome Cliff Blakey to The Greenhouse!
Cliff started playing flamenco around 12 years ago. He has performed in festivals such as Vamos Newcastle Spanish Culture Festival and Allendale Folk Festival. He plays in venues throughout the North of England. Has attended numerous private parties and has also played in schools with a flamenco dancer to promote understanding of flamenco music and its heritage.
... Under the guidance of his maestro Paco Bethencourt Llobert he started writing his own unique brand of flamenco fusion which has led him to write instrumentals and songs based on his lifetime passions of flamenco and jazz.
So be sure to join us on March 2nd. Sit back and relax to a smooth evening of seductive tones and rhythms as Cliff presents original compositions from his new album “Alchemy In The Air” and self penned songs and covers of some special latin and jazz songs dear to his heart.

We had breakfast here & it was delicious. I was pleased to see they do a vegetarian breakfast too. The sourdough bread was fab. The venue itself is gorgeous & looks spotlessly clean. We will be back

We attended the ticketed Stan gig, complete with Pie and Peas supper. The venue was excellent, intimate and comfortable. The bar staff were lovely and efficient. The facilities...toilets etc. very civilised.

I loved it. I would guess it would be even better on a balmy spring/summer evening.

Was lovely meal and drink and the live music was great

Lovely venue friendly staff

Lovely little place with great views of the coast. Had brunch ( eggs benedict) with a coffee and it was delicious. We were lucky enough to get a seat outside and soaked up the sun while enjoying our food in the lovey surroundings. The inside decor is also lovely and the staff were very friendly. Definitely one of my favs new spots.

It was very busy but the staff were really efficient and friendly. We waited no longer than 15 minutes and the food was delicious �

I was lucky enough to win the Fish and Chips meal for two today 22.4.18..Went along with my husband and the meal was lovely and staff were very helpful, Venue is great too, a must visit if you are ever in the area..thanks for the meal, we will return and bring our Cavalier King Charles Bailey next time..

Had burger and chips. Delicious! Our waitress was very good and attentive. Beautiful decor and surroundings. A hidden little gem. More people should know about this place!

Spent the day in Tynemouth & was looking for somewhere reasonable to eat. The Greenhouse itself is in lovely surroundings & the staff were friendly but the food wasn’t 5star. There was a lot of choice so it took a while to decide but in the end we ordered. Husband loved his hot fish but not so much the cold chips. My daughter enjoyed her warm bacon & cheddar ciabatta but again not the chips & the pathetic accompliments of salad (leaves) & slaw (think McDonald’s paper thimble size). I ordered the hunters chicken but yet again cold chips with a manky one on top & a cold onion ring on top of the burger. I requested a fresh portion of chips which they were happy to do & they did come out a tad warmer but not much more enjoyable. Not sure what oil they fry in but it wasn’t what we were used to. The burger was warm enough but typical British, don’t want to make too much fuss so we ate up & was polite but wont be eating here again. Not worth the price.

Paid £7.00 for fish and chips and had the cheek to charge 25p for ketchup ...chips were piping hot but fish was not could tell it had been on hot hold

Nice friendly staff but won't hurry back for food

Had a bit of a wait last time I was there a few months ago but the quality was fine. Last summer everything was fine so don't know what's happened. The cheese scones are lovely.

Very poor to supply food , was told at least one hour's wait for food , so had a coffee , while sitting having coffee I observed multiple sales lost because of delay on food and it didn't look excessively busy . Management desperate need to step in to resolve issue on food . Very disappointing. Great for drinks , but that's about all .

Ordered quiche and salad £6.50 had one mouthful was disgusting, was very wet and soggy pastry was the same . My kids had ham sandwich and the bread was hard it has obviously sat on a bench uncovered, mini fish and chip was ok! Waited far too long for food will NOT return
