we were a party of 10 impressed as table was ready straightaway and had a drink in my hand 5 mins later food was amazing good choice of meats lots of hot fresh veg gravy etc desserts were impressive too even though we had arrived late in the day the desserts that were sold out were all replaced by something else

good decor and atmosphere cant praise it enough really top marks!

It certainly didn't disappoint the restaurant has a classy clean modern feel & the staff were ALL so friendly ... I can honestly say the meal was the most tasty perfectly cooked carvery I have ever had & the creme brûlée 'yum' - we will definitely return x

We went to the Grey Goose today for the Sunday carvery. It was truly delicious and offered so much more variety to the usual carvery offerings. The pork stuffing alone is worth another visit! Along with great service and great surroundings it made for a fantastic Sunday lunch.

Very nice food was cooked to a high standard , the customer service was great too. The only problem is that it was extremely hot inside and there are no fans or air conditioning but over all fantastic place will definitely be back

This gastro pub has always been a favourite to us for a couple of simple reason

They have great food, actually tasty , good quality ingredients cooked by great chefs

They have great service, with simply hosting and genuine service

They have a good product, nice tables,

They care, they make you feel welcome and they give good quality food and drink at a good price

And as long as they do that we will return and return and share with our friends and family

If you can go to this great place then do. You will always return

Lovely meal with family for my father in law's birthday. Contrary to other reviews I have to say the service was absolutely brilliant, everyone was exceptionally polite and attentive...even apologising when we had to wait about 30 seconds to be served at the bar! The steaks we ordered were very good indeed, quite unusual as between the 3 who did order this dish we had one rare, one medium and one well done and all were served perfectly to requirements. The venue itself is delightful, clean and plenty of space at the table...not squashed in like other venues with a table of 6! Would definitely visit again ☺️

I went there for a family meal tonight. The decor was modern and fresh, and the outside terrace was great to sit out for drinks. Food was delicious and service was excellent. They were very accommodating.

The only slight niggle was that the pricing wasn’t very clear re the difference between 2 and 3 courses, but either way the food was well worth it!! I would definitely go again.

Food is always amazing here, great place to take friends for lunch & Early Bird menu is fantastic value for money.

Excellent food, excellent service, really nicely decorated inside and a lot cheaper than I would have expected for such a nice gastro pub. Great 'british' menu including lots of game and seasonal veg, but with interesting twists. Had a distinctly 'michelin star' feel (or at least aspiring michelin star!) but with portions that actually fill you up and no pretentious attitude at all.

Sunday Lunch. Eaten here a few times but first time for the Carvery. Meat was really nicely cooked and you had 3 good slices. Vegetables a nice selection all nicely cooked. No soggy vegetables.

If I'm going to be at all critical the roast potatoes let the meal down. Too large. They resembled jp's. Need to be smaller and more golden, crispy.

But all and all was a nice meal.

Lovely pub with friendly and attentive staff.

Love eating here on a Saturday night, food is always amazing. Two things in my opinion hold it back from the 5*

1) it’s way too loud, the echo is intense and doesn’t make for an intimate dinner

3) it’s rarely service with a smile, and can be slow service for the initial order. The staff look stressed and unapproachable.

But...... the food is always spectacular and in my humble opinion good value for money

The food was pretty nice but the service was awful. We had to wait - wait let me correct that “remind” the staff for our drinks, main and dessert! It was like we were completely forgotten about!! I can understand that New Year’s Eve is busy and apparently the bartender said that they were understaffed! To the manager, you should take note that if you are understaffed, you shouldn’t be taking as many bookings OR you should make sure you have enough staff!! I’m pretty sure these are the BASICS of customer service???

There was 13 of us that came here for a birthday party. The table wasn’t ready and when we did finally sit, we were ignored until we called someone over. The tables were only set with a paper napkin and knife and fork so more like a chain pub than a restaurant. Carvery was ok, not £14 worth. Roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding over done and tasteless.

However it was the service that I found absolutely disgusting. A lady came to check on us another 20 minutes after beginning our meal and other than clearing, that was the last time anyone came to us.

We had to go and ask for the bill and when we complained the gentlemen begin the bar didn’t seem to care and certainly didn’t act surprised. He took off our £2 coke and small wine but didn’t care AT ALL.

Very very disappointed and will be returning.

Well we went this evening for a meal. What a change since we went there a couple of months ago. Over priced and look quality in parts. Cheese board with soft biscuits replaced with a new board with missing cheese. Asked at the end how we found the meal. Then not interested in the feedback given despite it being balanced on main course good but dessert poor. £82 for 3 of us for a week day Dinner. Not worth it blonde hostess not interested avoid !!
