The Greyhound Inn, Corfe Castle, is nestled in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck between Swanage and Lulworth Cove on the Jurassic Coastal path.
The Greyhound Inn is a family friendly traditional old English Country pub, specialising in fresh local food, real ales and traditional ciders. You can even bring your four-legged friend with! The original Purbeck Stone building is a eclectic mix of old and new, the building dates back to fifteenth century and is steeped in history. Boasting solid oak and purbeck stone floors, modern leather and teak chairs and wonderful visual art by well known photographers and artists.
The pub is easily reached via the Swanage Steam Railway. The main access route by car is via Wareham or via the Weymouth road. Numerous cycle paths, mountain biking tracks or rambling routes lead you to the heart of the Isle of Purbeck, Corfe Castle.
We are extremely passionate about local food, and source within a 15 mile radius when possible.
We have numerous food and ale festivals around the year, along with monthly Live Jazz, Blues 'n' Booze events and monthly Quizzes!
The Greyhound Inn can also cater for large parties /group bookings for any event, whether that be weddings, parties or wakes! We are also the only venue to offer take-out in Corfe Castle.
Surrounded by four camp sites, Burnbake, Norden Farm, Woody Hyde and Woodlands, the pub garden provides campers with a chilled out and relaxed atmosphere to sample real ales on tap or try some freshly made great food.

Won a competition for a 2 course meal for two and opted for the lunch time, the food was beautifully presented and very tasty. The Manager and staff were very attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend this place for a meal and would re-visit when next in the area.
What can you say about this lovely Inn and the surrounds. An amazing lunch, well presented, large portions but will accommodate your taste and portion sizing. Landlord and young man behind the bar were great answering our questions plus recommending the local Tearoom where apparently you can receive some very delicious sweets. Cosy and relaxing atmosphere.
We called in yesterday evening on the off chance. We had three courses each, the food was very tasty, well presented and reasonably priced. Service was good and quick taking into consideration it was very busy when we arrived. We had the roast for mains and the serving was just right with no skimping on the meat. Pudding was the classic sticky toffee pudding, absolutely delicious. We will revisit when in the area.
Totally awesome relaxed atmosphere... the garden is beautiful,food Iβm yet to try! Staff very welcoming and friendly.

Thankyou so much for a fantastic lunch and wine, won in your competition. My little granddaughter, an unexpected extra, was beautifully well behaved, for a nearly 2 year old and loved the flatbread and ice cream. A truly lovely experience. Thanks again οΏ½οΏ½

They know how to treat their customers and one can feel , in the back stage, chefs hearted work to offer and make you remember their well presented yummy dishes! And then, around the corner, full of history Corfe Castle takes you back on time ...The place is a dream and for me this dream came trueοΏ½

This is a favourite place of mine but I didnβt enjoy my roast beef lunch on Bank Holiday Monday. The meat was very grisly and the food wasnβt hot. I did mention it to the server. I hope to find on my next visit that it was just a blip.
