A new and unique wedding package including photos, transport, music and beer has been developed by Weddings by JPL Photography. It’s the first of its kind in the UK and created exclusively with men in mind. Say hello to The Groomsmen Package.
Of course, we still provide photographers for the bridal party, but this package allows the groom to get the special treatment he deserves too. And, it’s much more than just a photo package.
The Groomsmen package includes
A photographer dedicated to the groom for the whole day
Chauffeured transport for the groom and his groomsmen in a classic VW camper van (inc. music and refreshments of choice)
Bound coffee table photo book containing the images taken
Gift DVDs of all the images from the day for all the groomsmen
So now the groom’s wedding experience is also full of fun and his day documented and kept forever. The cost? Only £600
Inspiration for the package
I have photographed more than my fair share of weddings over the last 10 years and seen all manner of different types. One thing I have noticed, with the vast majority, is the contrast between the experiences had by the bride and groom. Largely, less attention is given to the groom’s day and he and his friends tend to be overlooked. Nowadays more and more grooms want to be involved in their weddings and want to capture their side of the event specifically. My team and I believe it’s time to offer a service with the grooms experience in mind as well and think that this is something the brides will want for their grooms too.
Metrosexual is mainstream
In the last decade or so, there has been a huge increase in products and services designed for men that are traditionally created for women. Especially in the Spa and wellness and beauty and grooming industries. A study carried out by Travelodge in 2011 shows that men now take longer to get ready than women*. Recently, research company ‘Mintel’ revealed that for the first time, men spend more money on shoes than women; 15% more between the ages of 16-24**. The same company released figures that showed that globally, beauty and grooming products for men have increased by 70% in the last 6 years***. Metrosexual is now mainstream so men should be catered for on their wedding day too.
