What a super place! Gorgeous cafe, staff absolutely lovely. Well done guys !

User

We went for a walk in the woods with our border collie and called in the cafe for a drink, they had some lovely cakes in there and I had a lovely hot chocolate deluxe which was yummy. Staff very friendly. Would definitely visit again.

User

Very good excellent food good service all round

User

Just had the £5 meal deal , sausage sandwich , passion fruit sponge and a latte - lovely .

User

Just felt the need to pass on my love to the guys here on light of a couple of negative comments. Lovely staff, lovely food, lovely setting. There’s never ever been an issue where I’ve thought the produce cheap. The cakes are to die for and any sandwich or hot food has always been good value and delish! Looking forward to the better weather for sure x

User

I visited your cafe last Wednesday taking my 92 year old mother in law for the first time. She is usually very hard to please but was very impressed with your hospitality and remarked to your staff on several occasions how clean and tidy it is and that she would certainly be visiting again, as we all will be too. Keep up the good work!

User

Delicious lunch with husband sat outside in the sun. £5 meal deal, soup, hot drink and slice of Cake, very good value.

User

After a walk round Woburn Deer park we called in to Howe Park for lunch. So lovely sitting outside in the spring sunshine with our two black labs, who were very welcome. Delicious bacon rolls and lemon drizzle cake, perfect

User

I really enjoyed my first visit to Howe Park Wood Cafe. I've never been before and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and how nice it is there. Have been to plenty of other, similar types of cafe and they haven't measured up to your cafe by a long way.

User

Thought I would pay a visit today as seen posts on fb. Was disappointed though. Advertised paninins but not on today and sandwiches were already pre made. No prices on the sandwiches or cakes so was quite shocked by how much 2 teas and 2 cakes came to. Also no coffee table at the sofa so saw a waitress put down 2 coffees and 2 rolls on the floor! No nice when there are dogs in the cafe. Could be a little gem of a cafe but felt very basic and expensive for what it is.

User

First time in this cafe after a walk round the woods but was surprised and disappointed that because I only drink coffee I could not order a cream and like I do every where else? As both myself and my husband often enjoy cream teas on our travels we will probably prefer to go somewhere else next time in that area.

User

Stopped off for coffee & cake, service was slow & even worse customer service, don’t think we will be going back in a hurry. Such a shame as a lovely setting for an afternoon treat.

User

My friends and I have been to Howe Park Cafe for lunch 4/5 times over the past couple of months. A full menu was only available on one occasion. Today was a real disappointment. We came for the meal deal to be told it is no longer running. I asked for a menu to be told they don’t have them and that jacket potatoes and soup aren’t available anymore only sandwiches and panini’s from the refrigerator. There were no prices on the sandwiches either. Every time I’ve been the high chairs are filthy. My friends and I will not be returning. Such a shame as a nice location.

User

Just been for lunch with my husband . The 4 young ladies serving were very nice and polite. I had a cheese toastie but the bread was very thin. Found the food too expensive for what we got. Music playing was also way too loud. Think we will stick to just having a cuppa from now on

User

I’ve been to Howe Park Wood cafe a number of times now from when it first opened as a cafe to most recently, earlier today. I have to be honest have found that the experience has slowly declined each time.

It started off being quite a cute, cosy affair with the staff clearly taking a great pride in the service & experience offered to their customers. There was huge potential to really create a wonderful place for people to have a coffee & cake, which unfortunately has been squandered. I do like that thought has been taken about the offering for children & patrons with dogs, which suits my family.

In my opinion the cafe seems to have become ‘above its station’ and ought to return back to the original offering and pricing format. The prices are very high and certainly need reviewing. It’s almost as if the management have become greedy? There was a loyalty scheme initially, I don’t know if this still exists? The staff certainly don’t prompt to you to stamp your card if it does.

I completely understand the business side of the affair & thus the decision to employ young people to staff the cafe at the weekend, but when this affects the quality of your service offering, it certainly needs to be reviewed. I’ve read a number of others reviews on this page that echo this thought.

This is totally subjective I know, but I am not a fan of the furniture (to me it is more suited to a roadside snack wagon) nor am I keen on the mish-mash of differing plates/mugs etc. The table that we sat at today was wobbly - not because the floor is uneven, but the legs need tightening where they meet the feet.

Really disappointed with the visit today, as with the location/food/facilities it should be an awesome experience. The redeeming factor is the quality of the food, it is superb (albeit expensive!)

I hope that Howe Park Wood cafe can return to its roots & really shine like it should.

User

Fine if you want surly service. I ordered a tuna melt and was told after a while that there was no cheese and then later there was no tuna. Not the first time they have run out of basic stuff but sold me it anyway

User

Find it lacks options everytime I go. If you just want a sandwich then I'm sure it's fine but if you want anything healthier like a salad then don't go here. My girls wanted an ice cream to walk round with but they only did tubs which would have been too difficult to walk round the woods with. Just a bit more thought could make this place great.

User

As well as being regulars ourselves we often bring visitors to the area here as it highlights so much of what is good about Milton Keynes. The food is always excellent, but we were very disappointed last time we brought friends that the tea we had ordered came pre-prepared in mugs instead of in teapots. Apart from the fact that my husband does not take milk, so had to send his back, (we obviously didn't mention this as we had pots last time we came) the experience is far inferior. Please bring back the pots - even if you offer mugs with them!
