We went to the Halfway this evening after being recommended the food there... and they didn’t disappoint! �



A massive two-patty burger with freshly made onion rings, egg, bacon, cheese, gherkins... amazing. We couldn’t eat both burger patties as there were that big and filling. Then the puddings came out and were both excellent too.



The service was more than excellent and the decor and ambience was quirky but cool.



The only bad thing about the Halfway was that it wasn’t that busy! People should be packing this place out!

We took the family to the Halfway Inn yesterday for Sunday lunch to celebrate my father in laws 80th Birthday. Having never been before but have heard about it, I can honestly say it lived up to its repretation. The food was amazing and service was brilliant! The staff made a real fuss of my father in law - he thurally enjoy himself as we all did. 😁

I would highly recommend The Halfway Inn and we will most certainly be returning soon!!

We pass here regularly and were so pleased we called in at lunchtime today. What a fabulous find. We had puppy cuddles ❤️(Big unexpected bonus) followed by the most amazing Moules For me and burger for Hubby. Superb service, nothing was too much trouble. Beautifully furnished inside and out. Your every comfort has been thought of right down to throws for chilly evening. We will be back often. Thank you.

We found this lovely place while traveling to Goodwood Revival - the food was truly amazing and giant portions. Very pleasant & helpful staff. We will come back when this way and will probably make the effort to return just as a special treat.

Very relaxed friendly atmosphere. 1 of us had a burger option, opting for just one burger. 1 had poached haddock with egg. 1 had a Polish option of ham and beetroot. All meals were huge, well presented and tasted fabulous. We ordered Eton Mess to finish, again well presented and fabulous tasting. We shall recommend and be back for another visit!

This was such a lovely find, the food was amazing, lovely and fresh, it's just a shame the portions were so huge that we didn't have room for sweets!

My wife and I had a beautiful wedding anniversary meal here tonight and despite a hiccup at the start due to my wifes dietary requirements the chef bent over backwards to accommodate her, he could not have done more.

The meal was fantastic and I hope I do not have to wait another 27 years until I return again ;-)

Lovely as always. Lovely food and service. Only thing that ruined it was the middle aged man so far up his own arse that he felt the need to create a scene about some burgers that were cooked perfectly but in his mind they weren't! The staff dealt with him well and I'll be glad to never see him in there again hopefully. Will be back for more lovely food, atmosphere and great service. 👍🏻

I would really recommend The Halfway Inn restaurant! It's wonderful place with great atmosphere. We had Christening party organised in there. We were really pleased with table decoration and of course the food. It was tasty as always and portions were so huge that it was almost impossible to finish it. Staff was very helpful and took care of us all the time. We always enjoy spending time in there!

Fabulous meal this evening. Huge thanks to James (Chef) for catering for our two highly allergic daughters. They really enjoyed the main course and dessert you created for them. You really listened to our concerns and huge list of allergens and produced something exceedingly appetising and most importantly...safe. The empty plates were testament to this. Will definitely come back and will give you more notice so you can work your magic again. Thanks also to the friendly, helpful serving staff - excellent job!

Amazing food every single time, amazing staff, great outdoor seating, lovely atmosphere. Managers are super friendly and clearly very motivated and very passionate! Would always recommend - lunch & dinner.

Absolute gem of a place. Top class service, divine food in a classy setting. I've driven past this place for 10 years and today I finally went, I'd never imagined it would be so fabulous. I love the piano playing too. Nice touch. We will be back

A great atmosphere, even at lunchtime. The staff were efficient and attentive and the ploughman's platter was substantial. We would heartily recommend this pub and will definitely visit again if we are in the area

Lovely place for a meal. Food excellent, big portions, would have liked more vegetarian choice. Staff excellent, but very slow service (not enough staff working). Shame otherwise would have given more stars.

We went for a special occasion last night. We've been a few times and always been very good until last night. Menu was a little lacking. Chose what looked like the safe bet being the burger with chips and coleslaw. Burger was raw in the middle - like properly raw. When I tried to complain I was told it was medium rare. Which we were not asked how we would like it cooked and it was definitely not medium rare - more like still mooing. Less than impressed this time.

Food was fairly decent, however, the service left a lot to be desired. The service started off very well but by the end of the evening we had asked for coffees three times and still hadn’t been served and then had to ask a further twice to receive the bill and ended up paying at the bar. In a venue like this it is unacceptable �
