Went for dinner yesterday and loved it, the decor is amazing, staff very friendly and food is to die for! The best cheesecake in town!!! Great job guys :-)

The Hamlet is is truly one of South London's hidden gem's, if your looking for something a bit different from the run of the mill bars scattered about London this has a unique feel to the place. I've had some great night's downstairs in the vinyl room, lovely friendly vibe great music, all the staff are fab especially Elsa the owner she has done a great job making this place and the clientele feel very special.

If it's a romantic meal, a cheeky cocktail, or just a place to meet friends and soak up the atmosphere and dance the night away The Hamlet has it all.

Popped in for lunch yesterday and ended up having a full English breakfast. Compliments go to the chef; the bacon was one of the best I have ever tasted! Only downside, was that it did not come with the sour dough bread as advertised, but just normal 'toast'. Ended up having a nice glass of Sauvignon Blanc afterwards and my friend a cocktail. Both of us were satisfied.... will visit here again

My husband had his 50th at The Hamlet, it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The sit down meal was fantastic the service from staff was exceptional. Our afterparty was accommodated with bar staff who where very friend.



If you want a private intimate venue with good food and wonderful staff The Hamlet is the one. ���

My boyfriend and I was looking for somewhere to eat to celebrate our two year anniversary we were greeted by a lovely lady and made comfortable her son who was working on the bar was very helpful and kind .I recommend going in the food is amazing and presentation is wonderful. Looking forward to going back .

Highly recommend this place..Amazing cocktail bar/restaurant to dine, have a drink and also to host a party!! I have been here a few times and hosted a party last week. We were all very satisfied with the quality of the drinks and food and overall an excellent service from all staff. The vinyl bar downstairs is very unique and the manager allowed us to decorate to our own theme. She was very helpful in organising my party according to my budget! and ensured everyone had a good time!

This place is best visited in a weekend night when the vibe is cozy, intimate, yet also strangely gothic and alluring.



The drinks are pretty good- not sure if they're worth what they cost- and you have your pick of the litter ranging from cocktails to apertifs and everything in between.



The food is fairly underwhelming, but their Sunday Roast is pretty amazing, and makes it into the Top 3 that I've had thus far in London. The portions are huge with the Kids Sunday Roast being large enough to satiate even my stomach. Seriously, how much do kids eat in London?



The rest of the menu is mostly typical bar food with a hefty price tag, but still tastes great if you're looking for more than just chips and a drink. And while there aren't that many options to choose from, there's a little bit of everything to satisfy almost any palate, from starters and salads to burgers and fries.



Really, the biggest reason to come here is the swanky atmsophere, comfy couches, and spacious setting. It's like walking into someone's very fancy living room and dining area. Provided that someone really likes the mixture between gothic architecture and alcohol.

Visited with my boyfriend for a pint. An off duty female member of staff decided to loudly, negatively comment upon our conversation with her male companion. Whilst we were aware of this, we decided to ignore them. Eventually we decided to leave. At this point the female member of staff shouted "the lady doth protest too much" followed by laughing. Shocking and embarrassing. We were two of six people in the establishment including them. Will not return and do not recommend!

Very poor service when hiring the room downstairs. Slow service. No effort made. An obvious attempt to make as much money as possible with no morals/consideration for customer satisfaction.

Rude Manager!! Charged me twice for one drink and when I contested, stated that i was 'obviously too drunk to remember paying for two.' and refused to give me a refund. I have seen many reviews similar to this on Google, so it shows they are professional con artists. How rude and disrespectful. Never returning. If you do, please keep and ASK for all receipts, even if voided. They will protest and be rude if you ask for them, but ALWAYS insist.

My guests, for my 30th birthday, and I found it overpriced. Food was decent. Min bar spend was £1500. Security turned some of my guests away at the door and told them there wasn't a private party taking place there and sent them to another venue down the street. Also, the way the staff kept track of what my guests had ordered and paid for was so unorganised so til this day I still don't know for sure what the total bar spend was. I had to fork out an additional £400 (after paying £300) to make the difference and not forgetting they charged my friend 3 times for one drink! Find somewhere else in Streatham or south London. You're better off!

I attended this pub for a friends birthday! The evening started ok but the venue had really poor service considering we had hired the downstairs room!

The bar wasn’t even open for 45 mins! They closed earlier than advertised, and then gave no itemised bill at the end of the night.

The manager/owner was very aggressive and tried to get £200 extra for room hire out of us and never returned deposit.



This is unacceptable behaviour! They use bullying tactics to keep your money!



I would not recommend this venue at all! I would not return and the friends who arranged this party should consider the small claims court for their behaviour and service
