The Hampstead Butcher & Providore

WE LOVE JASON - we went to the butchery class last night. one word AMAZING!
Firstly, what lovely accommodating staff.. we missed our class when it had been booked. They were more than happy to help and re book us.
Jason was absolutely fantastic - he made this class perfect. He didn't speak to much and when he did he was so funny! he taught us some key skills and taught us about the meat and where it was sourced.
I feel like I have mastered the butchers knot. ;)
we took home every piece of meat we cut along with the cuttings Jason was using the demonstrate.
I would highly recommend this class, what a lovely butchers, venue and people.
I will never buy my meat anywhere else now!!

Really great service at this butcher shop. It's not the largest butcher shop, so if they don't happen to have a particular cut of meat that I want, I usually have them order it for me. It's also nice to be able to get a few imported American items as well. The cheese shop in the back of the store is woot nice as well.

I defy anyone to go into here, buy anything at all and come out with more than £3 change from a tenner, but the owner is a chirpy fellow and we like that. Crammed full of 2-year-tour-of-duty Americans ( but then, so is Hampstead).

The butchers are friendly and helpful with professional advice and tips if you need it. Good quality meat and sausages. Not in the low price range , but the truth is that good quality meat simply doesn't become super cheap. Anyway it's better to eat less meat but of higher quality.
Vast amounts of cheap meat every day are not good for anybody.

They make the best sausage rolls I've ever had! More meat than pastry, unlike most other places.

I believe they may have been serving some commercially-raised chicken as free range for some time. Let's hope that trading standards investigate.

The butcher was helpful in giving me advice on how to prepare some of the stake bought there. Very little in space but good meat variety

Great meat here. We had a hot dog that they cook on the street on weekends and was lovely as well.
