We actually had gone to another pub but found they were not doing food that night. We asked a local person where they would recommend and they told us about the Hare and Hounds. We're So pleased they did. The food we had (one steak and one pizza) were exceptional the service was great the locals too were friendly very pleasant surroundings, dog friendly (for good dogs) We shall definitely return and will recommend our friends to visit too.

Top class pub. We don't go here nearly as often as we should, and we always get a friendly greeting from the barstaff. Good selection of well kept beers, with frequent changes in lineup, and the food is excellent, best nachos ever!

Nice small village Pub with an excellent range of Real Ales. Did not eat there, but the food smelt great and other peoples meals looked good.

Lovely village pub. Went here two nights running. Good selection of local real ales & ciders.



Food was fantastic. If you do eat here in the evening, don't eat during the day. The plates are quite large! :-)

It doesn't get any better than roast beef Sunday lunch at the hare and hounds. Top top quality food, the beef is to die for, relaxed, warm, friendly surroundings and did I mention the fantastic choice of real ales? Heaven on earth!

I have now been in this pub a few times & never been disappointed. There is a good selection of cask ales a must for any Real Ale drinker.

The food is very good & worth the 16 mile trip to get there

Had a lovely gluten free pizza here last night. They advertise gluten free pizza on their website however when I rung up the night before visiting they said they didn't have them routinely anymore. Nevertheless, with less than 24 hours notice they said the chef could make me a gf base and the pizza was delicious. Staff very accommodating.

Great pub, great real ales and amazing food.

Fist time there taken by Grandaughter Natalie and Partner Chris the Sunday Roast was so good and we all had something different Beef Lamb Chicken and we could not stop praising our meals. The pub is old worldly and quaint with a roaring fire and lovely friendly staff. Natalie and Chris kept seeing different friends there and having a chat. S.Ray.
