Congratulations, and well played to all the brass bands competing in the North West Area Brass Band Contest today in Blackpool.
A special mention to Marple Band who came 6th out of 21 bands in the 2nd Section. A creditable achievement!
But as the landlord of The Hatters I have to give a special mention to my own band, Bollington Band. We came 2nd!

We are very saddened to hear the sad news that Mark Singleton, a much loved former landlord of The Hatters Arms, has passed away.
He will be sadly missed by all at The Hatters and everyone at The Hatters sends their deepest sympathy to Anita and the rest of Mark's family at this very sad time.
