Three steps to preventing hunger: 1. Stop (what you’re doing) 2. Drop (everything) 3. Roll (in to the Hatton Arms and order a burger) 😉👌🏻

We finally stopped at The Hatton Arms after driving past so many times and saying we would try it, it's was about 4.00 on Sunday afternoon and it was very busy so we didn't expect to get a table, however the gentleman that greeted us went out of his way to find us one, we had a fabulous shared fish platter to start that was delicious, our steaks were cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth, everything was hot and tasty, brilliant service even tho the staff were so busy! We will definitely be back and wish we had been before after we had a terrible meal at The Boot in lapworth, they need to have some lessons off these guys!

User

Visited for lunch today with three of my colleagues, we arrived early and very glad we did as it's a popular place! I had the salt n pepper squid, followed by fillet steak which literally was melt in your mouth tasty! Friendly service, great atmosphere and was a great start to my weekend!! Definitely recommend ...next time I'll not drive so I can enjoy a glass of bubbly too!

We went to Hatton locks because my husband wanted to have a look at the pool to maybe fish it with his mates so we decided to eat at the Hatton arms we went in and asked if we could have a table for 2 and a member of staff who I think was the manager asked if we wanted to sit inside or out and we said in a member of staff came and took our order and was friendly and helpful I had the chicken salad which was very nice but a bit spicy which I wasn't expecting and my husband had the burger which he said was very nice and we both had the sea salt chocolate tart which was very nice over all thought the place was was very nice but very expensive

User

Why do you not serve food outside today our dogs are too dirty to bring inside your pub. And we wanted lunch

Disappointed

User

Went for a meal with friends who we hadn't seen for a long time so we where all looking forward to our meal. The staff where good throughout the night but we felt the food let us down especially the fillet steak priced at £25. It was tiny with just 8chips and a bit of salad. The gammon was small and over cooked also.We where all disappointed. We complained and where given desserts for free. The room was so hot with no fans.

I think for the prices you need to look at your portion sizes. If we had bought desserts we thought they where over priced at £6.50 for most. Hope our feed back helps you rectify some issues .

Well I high expectations of the place , but it failed to deliver on the basics, like service . On my arrival the hostess was to busy texting on her phone to notice me standing next to her and had to say good evening to get her attention. She showed us to our table and sat there for a good five minutes before anyone else came it ask us if wanted a drink , poor service all ready . We eventually got some service and ordered our drinks and food . The wait for the food was around twenty minutes which isn’t bad for a busy night . I ordered the soup for starters and a premium cod and chips for the main . The soup was ok , the cod was over cooked and the chips were scant. My partners food was good, but nothing to be excited about . We at no point were asked if the food was OK or if there was anything wrong with it ,or even if we wanted anymore drinks , which is unexceptable at such a highly rated restaurant . When I asked for the bill and paid the waitress, she never asked us if the food was good or even if we had a nice evening , not even have a nice evening when we left .

The overall impression was poor along with the poor service from our arrival to our departure. Let’s say we will not be paying them another visit anytime soon .

User

This is my local and it’s very variable when it comes to food. Most of the time it’s fine but occasionally it’s not that great. It’s a lovely walk up the canal to get there and in the summer there’s plenty of seating outside with a lovely view down into Warwick.

User

Nice ambiance & service however given this warm weather NO salad options on the menu we ended up with only 2 starters! Think menu needs a rethink.

User

Meal was small, served on a large plate. Ordered turkey roast dinner. Parsnip puree was non existent. Would have been better with stuffing, cocktail sausage with or without bacon. Husband ordered steak and ale pie. Meat was great but he was not enamored with the number of small onions in it. Had far better meals in the past here. Disappointed, hugely

User

Called in Tuesday lunch time for a snack. Good choice of beers, well kept but the food was disapointing. I wanted a ploughmans but they had no ham, so I assume the ham sandwich was off as well. Waited for about 30mins for food while others had been served, when my beef sandwich arrived it had no chutney on it so it was a little tasteless.

I would be happy with this at Wetherspoons but at this price the expection is a little higher.

User

When we arrived, we were shown to our table. We were then left for almost an hour with no one asking if we wanted our prebooked food. We were a party of 8 and had sent our main dish requirements 4 days previously. Only when one of us went to locate a member of staff, we were we told our food would be cooked. Two of us ordered fillet steak, one cooked medium and the other medium rare, but they both came out well done and the mushroom and tomato looked like it had been sat under the heat lamp for a long time, very wrinkly. We were told we could wait for new steaks to be cooked but we were too hungry to wait and didn’t want to keep the rest of the table waiting.

We had to keep going up to the bar for our drinks as we were told we could not open a tab for our table!

The service and food were substandard. Needless to say, we will not be returning anytime soon.

User

What a crying shame! The food here has gone completely down hill. We booked last minute and got a table which was a surprise , you never could a few months back. When we got there the place was dead, about 8 cars in the car park. If you've been here on a Saturday before you'll know that's not usually how it it.

I had a lamb shank which was ok, a bit tasteless and my half ordered a chicken supreme which usually is quite a mild, pleasant thing to eateat. This one however was packed with 567 chillis!!! My other half sat there sweating his head off for the duration. Had to argue with the waitress and the manager that the dish WAS in fact completely inedible. Got money off in the end.

WONT be going back!

User

Not given a warm welcome at all .dumped on a table .finally spoken too by a pleasant girl .

Soup was red pepper and lentil too much chill so could not finish

Main was the pork medallion and this was excellent totally great after a was cheese board again good .

When we asked for bill we had to wait then given bill then girl wondered off so had to wait again

While processing our payment no talk deadly silent

Felt it was a clinical experience ..lovely place and good mostly excellent but sadly we were not given a warm welcome or even made to feel vauled as a customer .Very dissaointed if I'm honest as looking forward to it but there was not even basic customer care ...McDonald's do better ..

Maybe we just unlucky :(

User

Birthday meal booked tonight at the Hatton Arms. We experienced poor service. It was a booking for 11. It felt like our tables had been make shift along a sofa to fit us in and we were put next to the entrance to the toilets so constantly being asked to pull our chairs in for people to pass. Very poor service from the waitress drinks that were ordered did not arrive at the table, or condiments that were asked for following our meal being served. Such a shame had heard good things about this place but not tonight.

User

Very disappointed with food Sunday evening, main meal some of the food was over cooked, some of the food was undercooked, pudding was a mess (not Eaton), and coke was like dish water not a single bubble, totally over priced, Toby carver cook better food an that's saying something, when I eat out I want to eat the same quality of food or better than I cook myself.

User

Stopped here for a pit stop on a cycle to Warwick from Lapworth with the kids and dog. Left kids on grass area sat at a table while I got a drink and ordered some chips. I was told they won't serve any food on the grass. I could see if they where busy but hardly anyone In there. Had to sit on the decking keeping at eye on the bikes down below. Noticed decking was covered in bits of glass and manager kept coming out smoking on the the table next to us. Not really surprised it was empty. Will make sure we stop at one of the other pubs on route next time.

User

Service was none existent, atmosphere was sober to say the least, the two children behind the bar seemed to work together rather than serving customers separately, the tables out doors were dirty and staff were using the bar area as an office. You may want to brush up on customer service and working as a team opposed to ignoring customers and working in twos, we aren’t on the ark.

User

Often enjoy lunch here but was incredibly disappointed with the service when paying our bill today. Was told on three occasions (quite loudly to others in the restaurant) that payment card had been 'declined' despite machine screen saying that it had no signal. Waitress then tried another machine and it worked as it should have. Didn't appreciate the machine error being labelled as my own card when it wasn't. Tactless and inaccurate. Normally enjoy this restaurant and recommend to others but won't be returning.

User

Came for a meal on Friday evening 3rd August, my partner ordered a steak we had to wait an extra 30 minutes for the steak to be cook, well when the meal arrived at the table I just couldn’t find the words only to say how shocked, disappointed of the size of the meal the steak was no larger than a 50 pence piece and I counted 8 chips along side a mushroom and a piece of lettuce meal costing £25.00 when you pay that kind of money for a meal you expect value for money not to be left as hungry as you were before eating.
