We are just back from a weekend away with our friends and had a fabulous time so thought I'd share. We stayed in a gorgeous location in the Peak District. Fantastic walks, despite the weather trying to put us off! We stayed at Hall Farm Holiday Cottages in Wetton. Our hosts only took over the business in September but we would never have known if they hadn't told us. Everything was brilliant and we were made to feel so welcome. If anyone is thinking of a trip to that part of the country I would highly recommend looking them up. 3 cottages sleeping 3, 4 or 5, plus a large garden and play barn for the kids :) https://www.facebook.com/HallFarmWetton/< br>

Here at The Hayloft we cannot wait for this local business to be up and running. As we have become free of single use plastic, our one struggle he been to source toiletries locally. We have temporarily opted for using larger bottle of shampoo and shower gel instead of 'one use' small bottles. But we cannot wait to be able to get our refills from this local business. Please read their story and show your support 💚

Almost forgot...homemade cookies too....no more packaged biscuits :)

Next steps on the road to being plastic free here at The Hayloft. Chilled water in glass bottles and refillable soap dispenser. We also have refillable shampoo /shower gel which we will be using as soon as our current plastic ones run out :)

Here at the Hayloft we are aiming to provide accommodation that is free of single use plastic. It will take us a while to make all our changes, but we aim to achieve this by the end of 2019. #plasticfreehornsea

We now have a fridge exclusively for guest use. Now we can keep your complimentary water chilled and offer fresh milk for your cuppa :) . Feel free to use for chilling a bottle of wine, or even keeping your fishing bait cold (yes, this has been requested in the past!) For more details, prices and availability please get in touch :)

It seems to have passed me by that we have now been open a year! Thank you to those that have stayed with us and for your lovely reviews. And to all those who have supported us and shared our posts and page. Looking forward to our 2nd year of guests :)
