What a wonderful pub! Driven past for over 12 years and always said must try there one day.. went for my birthday meal, amazing staff, service and food and even got happy birthday sang to me by all the staff and diners! Wonderful will be back very soon. ����

We have been to the Hermit Inn many times. The food is delicious, and affordable. The staff are lovely. A proper yorkshire pub with many ales. I'm sure we will be back again soon.

Was stuck for somewhere to go to eat. We couldn’t decide. Then I remembered driving past this place a lot on the way to work, thought I’d I’ve t a try. It did not disappoint. Food was spot on. Highly recommend it �

My fathers cousin Bob Foulger ran the pub for many years. I remember going to,visit them as a child late 1930 s. It was such a cute little pub. I remember it had ivy down one side of the building. In those days it was quite a difficult place to get to.

Love this place for all occasions birthdays ,diner with friends pint and a sandwich Christmas day diner excellent service excellent food ♡☆xx

I haven't been to The Hermit in years & years, but will be definitely be going again. Staff are great, very friendly and accommodating. Sunday lunch was amazing! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Dog friendly too. No complaints at all.

Can't believe the hermit pub is still open. I must come down for Sunday lunch. I haven't been for nearly 16 years. Has been taken over again.. Carnt remember who had it then but they were a lovely couple. My grandma always brought to the hermit every Sunday!!!! Hope u still do ur famous sticky toffee pudding!!!!

Always good food and friendly staff, what more could you want.

After a long walk with my dog Patch I needed lunch and a thirst quencher the car park looked full so wasn't sure if we could get a table.

We were in luck.

There was a fine selection of beers including local breweries I selected the Leeds pale ale.

The roast lamb 3 thick slices was cooked to perfection along with 2 yorkshires, mash, roast spuds, carrots, broccoli and cabbage.

Feeling a little space left in my tummy I went for the jam roly poly and custard.

Patch would also like to thank you for the dog biscuits you gave to him.

I would highly recommend this place.

If I'm passing in the future I'll pop in again.

Lovely atmosphere, fantastic bar/waiting staff very efficient friendly and attentive. The food however was hit and miss the duck was incredibly over cooked and the haddock and prawn crumble had been served onto a plate and re heated as a skin had formed on the sauce, although it was very tasty and full of flavour. The Scallops starter was also disappointing lacking in colour, I would have expected that the scallops to have a golden colour top and bottom and the bacon also to have been pan fried to give colour instead of both looking pale and undercooked.

The people was lovely but I asked for chicken pork came my husband pie was so dry it was obviously a couple of days old very disappointed
