We’ve just attended the children’s Christmas party with family & there were 2 adults & 3 children who were coeliac & the food was amazing! We were able to order from the menu & they gave suitable substitute so we could eat it, delicious! Excellent service at the bar & with all the staff. Thank you xo

Went for tea last night and the food was lovely, homemade and tasty! Half the order was forgotten, but they couldn't have been more apologetic, even given the lads (who waited for their tea) free beer. Recommended for a night off cooking!

Went for something to eat. What a lovely pub. Food was wonderful, service with a smile and the open fireplace topped it off. Fantastic and well worth a visit

We had a fabulous night for Grans 90th on Monday! Christine and the family were very warm and welcoming. And Elvis made the night extra special!

We are hear most weekends it's my favourite pub , all the staff and owners are friendly and we always get a warm welcome the times I have eaten I have enjoyed it also the kids food is fantastic and the times I have booked party's with buffets thay are utterly fantastic lots of food for your money and always tasty food no complaints from us we love it.

Myself, my boyfriend and our little baby have recently moved opposite the heron pub - so we thought we would try it out as our local! And what a lovely place! The staff were friendly and attentative - they even asked if our baby needed a high chair (she didn't cause she can't sit up yet) but it was a lovely thought! We ordered our food and it arrived quickly and was delicious. I had the tower burger and my boyfriend had the chicken burger. They were both well cooked and lovely presentation! We both couldn't finish them - well worth the money! And we were in luck as on the day we visited it was 2 burgers for £15... bargain!! Will deffo call this our local and will be returning! Can't wait to try out more food and good drink! Thank you for a lovely meal... :)

My first time at this ace pub to listen to 9 Lives play. What a great pub, I love the decor and at night all the lights made it feel so welcoming. The staff were really friendly and service at the bar was very quick even while it was so busy. I liked the fact that there were lots of different parts to it so depending what you wanted out of your night, you could find a seat in the best place for you. Had a great time dancing. Not sampled the food. A great pub. Definitely recommend.

Lovely Pub, clean and excellent service. The only reason my drinks took time to arrive was because I sent my son to the bar .



Nice menu choice for food and a great selection of drinks at the bar. TVs located well to watch the footy. Large parking area, outside seating which is clean and pleasant.



Great for the family as located right next door to a fun playground and local dog walking area.

I attended a party here with about 60 quests the food was great, and so was the service. I will definitely go back.!

Had a lovely meal here with my daughter. The cheese cake was moreish! Good sized portions too with great service and well presented - thought serving the fish and chips in a box was really quirky plus they tasted fab. The pub itself has a really good atmosphere and the land lady and staff are very friendly and helpful. I Would highly recommend it for food and for a night out. The last Saturday in the month they have a live band and at Easter they had an Elvis impersonator - what a great afternoon/evening that was, the place was buzzing. Hope they have him back!

Had a fantastic weekend in there this weekend celebrating my husbands 60th Saturday nite there was great entertainment from ELVIS. The place was very busy and the bar staff coped fantastically. On Sunday afternoon we had a get together with family and friends and enjoyed one of the best buffets that I have ever had plenty of tasty food. The bar staff were all amazing again and very pleasant. So just want to say a BIG THANK YOU to all the staff and to the land lady for what has been a great all round a weekend we will remember for a very long gone time .

Great pub, always a welcome sight - friendly staff with great service, and great food at a reasonable price (I can recommend the Tuna Melt and Tower Burger!). Will definitely be returning �

A great pub for the whole family, plenty of parking and a welcoming place to drink and eat. If they provide a play park, it would be fantastic. Spoken to friends of ours who also agree. Looking at the outside eating area, there would appear to be loads of space to accommodate one,without affecting parking. Hope this happens!

Thank you for a Fantastic New Years Eve party for the kids today! It’s the first time we have been but we will be back! The kids had a ball and sat the longest they ever have watching the entertainment, which meant I could actually have a conversation with friends so thank you! I was pleasantly surprised by the FREE buffet for the children, very generous of you, thanks again. Happy New Year to you all, see you in 2018! �

Thank you for a brilliant afternoon Easter Sunday, The entertainment was brilliant Stu-Di-Doo he kept the children entertained ,there was decorating cakes and biscuits and a Easter egg hunt, well done all who organised this event,

First of all, the staff are lovely here, especially the younger lad with blonde hair, you cannot fault him. However, the food was not great. We've had a hard week at work so thought we'd go for a few drinks and decided whilst there after seeing their fish fryday offer to stay for something to eat. The portion sizes were ridiculous, we've come away still hungry as if it was just a starter and resembled a child's portion. Also, my portion was completely different to my boyfriends even though it was the 2 person offer. Secondly there were a lot of bones in the fish which if it had stated on the menu as most establishments do 'may contain bones' we would have not ordered it (it did not and I even showed the staff in case I was missing it). The only reason I haven't given it 1 star is because of the staff. We told two different members of staff about these issues and both apologised and said they'd pass it on to the management but we felt that something more should have been done, even management coming out to us to apologise themselves or something. Also, on reading other reviews, it seems that the fish and chips others have received were in a box which ours was not, ours was in a small plastic dish so whether it was a different chef on tonight I don't know
