What a great place this is. Beautiful deco with friendly and welcoming staff. Set on a lake with tranquil views. Food was very tasty along being great value for money. Will definitely be returning to this gem of a place.

Their Easter Egg Hunt yesterday was really good. The staff even found my son a dairy free easter prize which made his day. He was so excited thank you to all of the staff that made it so special �

In fact, the lovely staff this evening all made our evening. Great food. A medium rare steak that was delicious and medium rare. Huge servings. Maybe a little too generous even. We'd have been happy with half the size of the portions. Then we could have managed your lovely desserts. We'll be back. Thank you x

First time visit yesterday for Sunday lunch. I have to say I was very impressed. Good service seems such a hard thing to find in so many places these days but there were no such problems here. Despite being packed we had impeccable service with a smile and wonderful food to go with it. We're defiantly booking up again very soon.

Beautiful place to eat and drink whether it be for a special occasion or just an impromptu meal out. Excellent food and service, waiting staff are so helpful and friendly, nothing is too much. Lovely decking area over looking the lake. We would highly recommend.

We came here today for my aunties birthday treat. The food was lovely, the waitresses were brilliant and really friendly and helpful but the only thing that didn't get the 5 stars was the rude obnoxious manager. My cousin had misplaced her phone and was looking under the chairs where the rude manager made several comments and was really unhelpful. Turned out the phone had been handed in. My auntie just said why didn't they turn around and ask if anyone had lost a phone as we were sat in the corner so wasn't many peoples it could have been. The manager snapped there's over 300 people here it could have been anyone's then argued with my auntie whose birthday it was across the table. We can see the stress in your face. I suggest taking a week off and learning the art of customer service again as you hopefully had a skill in this before to get to manager. Other than this one lady the food and experience was lovely!

Came here for a Sunday roast with our large family yesterday (ordered food in advance) service was very good and food was loved by all. Thank you will be back soon no doubt!

Nice pub, been coming here for years and it's always been good but yesterday was a let down. My partner had Roast Beef and got 2 thin slices, 4 slices of lukewarm, chewy carrot, over cooked roast potatoes, 2 broccoli florets and a Yorkshire Pudding. Very expensive meal at £14.95.

My mother-in-law ordered the gammon and asked for skinny fries then sweet potato fries instead. She got the gammon with chips & a side of skinny fries. My sister-in-law ordered half a bitter shandy, she was given a pint, advised the waitress she'd asked for a half so the pint was taken away and a half pint brought back but we were charged for the pint. I had the roast rump of lamb which was nice but the lamb was tough to cut so I could have done with a steak knife. My brother-in-law's meal was fine but he ordered salad and it took a while to be served after we'd all received ours. The pub was busy because of the weather, but our experience was disappointing and the food overpriced given the quality. Don't think we'd be in a hurry to come back for a meal, maybe just drinks & nibbles in future.

Ordered the bacon and cheese burger which was pink in the middle still, when I complained I was told it's ok it's beef, but sorry I did not order a medium rare burger. I was asked what I would like so opted for a cooked burger and got the whole meal again which seemed a bit daft, will not be going back got quite a while as last couple of times the food has been really good.

Came in last Saturday for lunch with the Grandchildren, not bad at all except for the Fish Pie my wife had. She said it was very nice but lacking in potato. I've just looked at the menu and it states sliced potato, well the fish pie was in the dish with no visible potato and there was Broccoli on the side, nothing else.

Rude manager had issues with her day and started shouting at my wife infront of my daughter because she " gave me a look " sort it out peggie mitchell!

Rubbish customer service - trading on their location and management absolutely useless. Went on a lovely sunny afternoon to enjoy a couple of drinks with family outside. Were told we couldn't book a table in the eating area outside. Found a table went to order food and were told we were sat in the wrong area for food. Having moved tables were told they weren't taking food orders unless you had booked. Wasn't even busy - only a handful of tables with food (but loads of uncleared tables). Several staff standing behind the bar and one poor guy doing all the table service. Owner/manager wasn't interested and told us to speak with the "host". Eventually got 2 kids meals out of them but they've lost our future business. And food was distinctly average...
