We stopped here four of us to have something to eat before our ghost tour at shepton mallet prison, the food was absolutely delicious and really friendly staff. Our next tour we certainly will pop in here gain first

To be honest I can't fault the place. They let me park my truck on the edge of their car park and I aways eat in there. Lovely polite people GREAT FOOD �� Just I do feel like I'm taking the Mick by parking here couple nights a week as obviously it isn't a truckstop but hopefully everyone's ok with it because it's now one of my favourite pubs. The Landlord was the last person hung in England for sheep stealing. One of my husbands ancestors was the last person hung in Scotland for sheep stealing!

Fantastic meal, lads behind the bar were lovely, chatty and friendly too. Well recommended for a meal, drink or both!

Came on Friday for our support group Christmas meal. The food was lovely, plenty of it and cooked to perfection. Me and the husband are vegetarian and the Goats Cheese Tart was delicious! How about a nut loaf next year so we can have all the trimmings too, we will be back...

10 of us had a Xmas meal and the meals were fantastic, the service was great and staff very pleasant. We will certainly be returning again.

What a horrific place!!



Went in with my elderly parents. Pulled up out the front and copped abuse and called f*%cking c*nts by a horrible man out the front because apparently we didn’t park to his liking (my dad is bad on his feet and we needed to park near the door).

Walked inside, used the facilities and were still feeling very uneasy so we made the decision to pay the 50p charge each and leave instead of staying for lunch. As we were getting the money out, another man at the bar shouted at us because he thought we were leaving without paying.



When I paid the landlady I told her we wouldn’t be staying and that the men in the pub made us feel uncomfortable, the man from outside (who had followed us inside) started shouting at us again.



It’s obvious they don’t like tourists here, Highwayman by name and Highwayman by nature - keep away!!!

Had 8oz bacon cheeseburger, burger was really dry and roll was rock hard. Disappointed as visit last year was really good.
