WE ARE LOOKING TO BOLSTER OUR EXTRAV TEAM! Can you spare some time to help organise the 2019 Extrav this year. We need volunteers who care about keeping our community alive and bringing people together as a community event. We have a base management team but need more people. Volunteering is supported by many companies and this is a great opportunity to get involved with a major village fete whilst having fun. Help us keep the event going. This is a great afternoon for our local families, adds positively to your CV and is a vital experience for children to feel that there is a sense of community in Hiltingbury and Chandler's Ford. Can you spare a few hours per month to volunteer at The Hilt Community Centre?
We have all sorts of work which you can get involved with and you will be joining a great bunch of dynamic volunteers without whom the Community Centre would simply disappear.
Our main aim this year is to bolster the Social Committee to enable more events to be run for the community to enjoy. You would be joining an experienced team and bringing new ideas with you. We would love to run the Extravaganza this year so this is one of our first aims. Come and join the team at the Hilt and experience the joy of organising and running a great community event. The Hilt 2019 AGM followed by Drinks/Refreshments Monday 11th March 2019 - 7.30PM CRANBURY ROOM - Hiltingbury Recreation Ground, off Hiltingbury Road, SO53 5NP - next to the schools and tennis courts.
The Hilt AGM provides an opportunity for the Trustees and Centre Management to provide an overview of the finances and performance of the community centre over the last year. Drinks and refreshments will be served afterwards where you can meet the team and raise any ideas, items, issues or concerns you may have. You may wish to contribute ideas for community events or to get involved with the many committees which work to ensure the community centre functions and continues to provide a valuable service to the local area. We would very much welcome your input. PLEASE COME AND SUPPORT US

... Get a group of mates together, pick which one you want to help investigate and book your table. It’s the 1800’s so why not dress up to add to the atmosphere?
Each team (Table) should bring their own three course picnic (three courses are needed to fit in with the story line) and the drinks to accompany the meal.
Each of the tables acts as a team of assistance to Sherlock Holmes. Can your team work out who, how and why the murder was committed?

PARENTS - All children must be accompanied and seated with their parents or guardians during the event. Children may be asked to the front of the stage during certain carols to participate but should return to their seats afterwards.

Great time was had by all at the first Beer Fest. Large range of fab local beers so a BIG Thank you to all the team at The Hilt that made it such a great success and hope this will be an annual event as it was so lovely to have it within walking distance for the local community to enjoy
