We were a party of 17 who went to The Hinds Head, food was fabulous, all came out at the same time piping hot. Staff where amazing really friendly and knew there stuff xx the layout of the tables was really homely as was the comfy couches and roaring fire. We will definitely be returning to this little gem.
This is my second time at the Hinds head and It was lovely as always the food is beautiful and the presentation is great, the staff are friendly and always polite always making sure everything is okay and if you need anything else. I would highly recommend going.
The staff made us very welcome for b&b the family room was well equipped, very modern and warm, breakfast was lovely, with good sevice, would stay again.
Stayed here for two nights and will stay here again, next time we are up in the area! A warm friendly place with great food , excellent service and a wonderfully quiet room. Adam was a delightful host on Saturday night, Kevin is a talented chef (and also very friendly!) the entertainment, Anita Ryan was a really good singer. The service was as good on the Sunday evening when we enjoyed a Roast Dinner. Reasonably priced the wine list is short but perfectly formed & we were surprised to be able to enjoy a Sancerre by the glass! Not surprised to see that Christmas Day Dinner is fully booked ( think by the middle of Sept!)
My cousin & I met for lunch yesterday, I had the steak & onion baguette, my cousin had the fish finger butty - both off the lunchtime menu & came with hand cut chips & salad. Everything was lovely! It was presented beautifully! I will defo be back
Love the food here it’s amazing - the festive dinner was great and the burgers they do are the best around - I can’t wait to go again for a treat this Friday I hope the home made strawberry cheesecake is on - me and my husband love it x
I had the salmon dish, my husband had seafood risotto and my daughter had a burger. We all enjoyed the food. It was well cooked and delicious. The waiting staff were very attentive. My only grumble was the room poorly lit and a bit dismal
Great lunch today, superb food on the lunch menus, excellent value at 7.95 for main coarse.
Regular visitors ,to the Hinds Head, try to keep it as secret restaurant as it's difficult to book on popular days .
Kevin,s a very good chef, consistently high standards , front of house is managed by Adam, with staff friendly and accommodating. Keep the secret restaurant to yourself as everybody will want to visit.
Great food, great atmosphere, an all round lovely pub.
Good atmosphere helpful staff, you do pay little extra than you would if you went to some other large restaurant chain, but you can tell the difference in the food,( get what you pay for). I would say the Hinds Head is far superior than your average pub grub
Food was absolutely delicious, staff were lovely and the service was fab. We thoroughly enjoyed our night, and the atmosphere was great!! The saxophonist/singer was brilliant as well 😊 first time here and will be back again ❤️
Fantastic food, great staff and the place is amazing. A real warm welcoming place with fab food. Certainly recommend and will certainly be back
Excellent food.
Loved the Chips n burger.
Great service at a very reasonable price.
Drove past this place a few times but my friend told me we have to try it ... fantastic food highly recommend this place
Came yesterday for lunch will certainly be going back....friendly, attentive staff. The food was absolutely delicious, xtra toast with pate(unheard of in other places).....definately recommend x
recomend this place but food was awesome great lovely atmosphere but please for any circumstances please do not serve euroshopper energy drink with 30p on it for customers for 2.20. Better if it will be any product where is not price on it. But food i had was 5 star quality
Would have given the place 5 but my husbands steak was full of gristle and not enjoyable. My salad was delicious mother in laws pie very nice.
We where offered a complimentary dessert we didn't want one would have preferred they knocked of part of the price of the steak dish . Disappointed to be honest in response.
We visited here last night for my birthday meal I'll start with how amazing the food was best parsnip soup I've ever tasted, after ordering a good few alcoholic drinks we ordered 2 large wines with the meal the poor waitress spilled 2 full glasses over my husband in his food basically on his knee she was so apologetic however the guy running the restaurant stood talking to a regular and completely ignored the whole thing the girl came over with paper towels and tried her best but seriously expected the managed to aknowlage the incident and maybe help her out apologise anything little bit disappointed on the customer service although the food was lovely I'm not sure I would come back
didnt enjoy my Sunday roast as much as previous visits. The spring onion and mushroom soup was over salted for my taste. I nearly took out my crown trying to eat the roast potato having first spent 5 minutes trying to cut into the cast iron exterior. The piece of baguette accompanying the soup was undercooked and almost white rather than crusty. I appreciate sundays are busy but dont don't mind waiting for good food. Disappointing really .
