About The Hingemakers Arms
We are a true community pub owned and run by locals, used by locals and appreciated by visitors as being a cut above the usual chains.
The Hinge has recently seen its facilities and the furnishings improved to make it a more comfortable place to be, but great care was taken to ensure all of the pub's character was retained. The pub is fully independent and is run to benefit those who drink in it and the prices and the various events held there reflect this.
The main clientele who use the pub are people who value a community pub where you can drink in a relaxed atmosphere.

Bonfire night at The Hingemakers. Mon 5/11/12 Bonfire lighting at 6 pm. Free professional firework display starting at 6.30 pm. Greggo's burger van on site.... Outside bar selling cans of beer. Kids shop in the beer garden selling pop and crisps.

What a boozer! So welcoming to a bunch of southerners randomly turning up on a Tuesday evening wearing football shirts.
Well laid out pub, with pool table and darts board separate from the bar area. Lovely covered garden area, excellent for socialising. Beers and spirits at incredibly low prices. And to top it off, one of the four guys who runs this freehouse got talking to us and proceeded to get our group two full rounds on the house!
It's a little hidden away, but if you're in Ashton it's well worth seeking this place out. An absolute hidden gem.
Top boozer just needs a few more man united supporters in there

The staff are great! Best staff in Ashton! Imported and exclusive beverages and did I mention the staff were really great :)

It's great for hiding from my wife. Jukebox is run by a local lad who likes Neil Diamond. Ale is spot on.
Had some great times in the Garden when I lived on Blenheim Road
Great little hideaway good beer and friendly staff,seek it out you'll love it.
Fortunate to have such a warm,friendly pub on the doorstep. A credit to all the hardworking people who run it. Love coming in here.

Best pub in Ashton!! Great atmosphere, can go in on your own and will always bump into someone you know. Great ales with a different guest on every few weeks and if you go on a Friday tea time you're treated to complimentary black puddings with mustard or delicious sausages. If you haven't been there you have to try it!
