good pub to watch rugby, with a great atmosphere, beer is reasonably priced & food is good. 3 big rooms to watch rugby. Staff are polite & efficient
Went in for the first time yesterday, loved the atmosphere for the rugby, thought the bar staff were doing a wonderful job, never waited long for a drink, and a good choice as well, the food being served look very good especially the pizzas.
Went along last night to sample the new menu under their new chef Ben Corcutt
Wow We had Pizza Fries
Panoko Breaded Fish Fillet Burger, The Brioche Bun was the best I've ever tasted and the crunchy tartare Sauce was just amazing with the fish and Apple Slaw and my partner had the Chargrilled Cajun Chicken Burger, Pulled Pork Pizza it was all outstanding.
Well done Ben
We went up for Eng v Wales last night Superb atmosphere, pizza was gorgeous and hubby got an Otter rugby ball :-D the pub looks amazing too
We love our rugby and friends have been telling us to visit the Hole In The Wall, but always put it off. We did visit for the premiership final, and oh my god what an experience, it obviously was not as good as being there but it had everything else, amazing atmosphere and such a great crowd we had an amazing day and will be going back for the Autumn internationals and the six nations. We did not eat there but saw some great looking food cooking out of the kitchen..
If you like your sport and can not make to the ground then visit The Hole In The Wall..
We donŌĆÖt live near, so it was our first visit yesterday, after some advice from some fellow Exeter Chief fans. Great place to watch the rugby. Very friendly staff & fantastic food. We will be back! ’┐Į’┐Į
Really good the pub showed the final Game of thrones episode. Dimmed the lights and let John Snow and friends fight it out. Really good atmosphere. Half price pizza though it was rather salty but overall a good experience.
Lovely staff, amazing atmosphere on match days. The pizzas are HUGE. ’┐Į
Great spot for watching the rugby. Decent menu choices and all very tasty. The service we received from the staff, despite the bar being totally packed out, was friendly and efficient and couldn't be faulted. Thank you all for looking after us all so well :)
Great pint of Sharps Atlantic. Even though busy didn't have to wait to long to be served. Proper good pub.
Good beer good surroundings excellent for sport multi screens
George is a fantastic landlord and his staff is a credit . Humongous Pizzas and is frequented by all walks of life . The life sport is amazing with screens in every room.Frequented J.K and his Irish mob.Looking forward to seeing the Lions there this summer.
Fantastic service today at lunchtime from Leah and the lady on the bar( Maureen I believe her name was) helped me to the table as i had my little boy in my arms, first time trying the buttermilk chicken burger would definitely recommend
Brilliantly refurbished with 5x 72" screens for rugby and other sports! New chef with new menu, good food, loads of ciders available in the cider bar and good drink deals in the main bar. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff! :-)
Bar staff were great, despite it being busy. Great friendly place to watch rugby. Felt safe with my teenage daughter in the afternoon/early evening
It is great to find a pub that shows rugby matches with commentary many pubs around the country have no volume - very frustrating.
Very good bar service with reasonable prices
No staff at the bar then 15 mins later one spoke to me after checking her mobile phone and sending a text I got served and the pub was quiet. Order a pizza and 2hrs 15min and counting still hasn't arrived .. Shambles .. Even the sound system gave up bothering working for most of the rugby match
Incredibly gutted, and a little angry, that you have just refused to hold a table so that my disabled partner can enjoy watching the rugby with me in your venue. I was there last week and I understand that you get busy, but seriously?! They were born with fibula hemimelia where there fibula bones, both legs, didn't form fully. They have no ankle movement due to having both ankle joints being frozen, and cannot stand still for any length of time.
Not sure why I'm posting this message, maybe it is a bit of shaming exercise. Where is your respect for diversity and disability?
Other disabled visitors be aware!
Decent pub for rugby. However it always has horrendous bar service. Where do they employ these people from... They constantly struggle with basic tasks.. Really let's the place down.
