Wow! Have just eaten at the honest miller and quite honestly..... It was the best steak I have ever tasted. A big Thank you to the chef/landlord Gareth cox! Gareth not only cooks the best food ever, but also creates a warm atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble for him. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Guaranteed to enjoy good food and company at reasonable prices. Please go and divulge!

Went back recently after the new owners had taken over. Very impressed with the updated look and much improved food. My mum and I both strongly felt that the food was gorgeous, it was value for money and the service was friendly and efficient. Definately recommend and we are looking forward to going back for dinner this time. :)

We had a four course Groupon meal and it was excellent. All the courses were cooked beautifully and were piping hot. The service was very good too, friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend. A great find in a beautiful corner of Kent.

User

Visited yesterday and tried the 4 course taster meal. The pea soup starter was delicious, as was the calamari, trout and chocolate mouse and blood orange sorbet dessert. Would recommend. Excellent value for money and friendly staff.

User

Visited as had a groupon voucher. Lovely bar lady who was helpful and very pleasant. The choice of the main with the fish was something I couldn't eat and the chef came up with two acceptable alternatives. I chose crab Thermidor which was just delicious.

Great customer service. Nicely presented.

Well worth a visit.

User

Really enjoyed our visit here, great front of house staff made us instantly at home. We used a groupon voucher for the tasting menu, three courses was enough for us, totally bloated, but excellent food. Substituted coffee for the desert, excellent French Chardonnay , located in a beautiful village. Highly recommended 😃

Lovely pub in village quiet location, small car park. Booked a table for Sunday as we know it can get busy. Was indeed busy at 3pm but had a new CE table near the carvery. Small wait as busy but worth it, huge portions and beautifully cooked, the beef was sublime and the Yorkshire Puddings huge and crisp in particular, but everything was cooked to our liking anyway.

We all had pudding, the only slight downside was the Apple Tart, bit on the minimalist side for me but son wolfed it down with no complaints.

On the whole recommended for a family meal out, just be sure to book in advance on Sundays. Great value I think at £11 per head for the carvery, they also have other specials during the week. Will be back again.

User

Gorgeous meal ! We came in last night for a birthday meal and it happened to be steak night ! It was cooked to perfection , friendly staff and we all enjoyed our meals . Will def be coming again

User

Came here on 2nd December for an early Christmas dinner with few friends. Food was lovely and service was great. Had the set menu and the Scotch egg was something else. Others had the soup and was equally tasty.

Turkey was cooked perfectly and the portion was a good size. Nice gaps between courses and the waitresses were very attentive. You are always a bit worried when it’s a set menu and turkey can be dry etc. It really was excellent and we will definitely be back. We had a great night!

User

Came for a carvery with the family, was worth the wait with the freshly cooked food it was a lovely carvery & friendly staff

User

Been trying to get to go here for a while, I am so glade I managed to. Food was fantastic and staff very friendly. So nice to go out for a meal and not been disappointed. Will be recommending to my friends and definitely be going back. Thank you

User

Always a treat to eat at this lovely little characterful pub - great menu, great food cooked to perfection, attentive and polite service, excellent value for money.

User

Very picturesque traditional pub, plenty of choice on the menu and the food is very tasty! Staff are extremely friendly and inviting, service overall was prompt even when busy. Prices are a few quid more over the top than what I would normally expect to pay and although the food is excellent this is why I only gave 4 stars, otherwise it would have been a 5 as I know I can't eat here as regularly as I would like.

User

It was a very good experience. The food was very well cooked - 1 lamb well done, 1 med/rare etc. I would recommend it, the kids had a good menu to choose from and a little play area.

I will go back.

User

Venue was nice and in a nice setting but unfortunately the new menu didn't live up to things for me. Came away with our clothes stinking of smoke and stinging eyes too from the woodburning stove

User

Ate here today, 10 of us in total, staff were lovely however the Carvery didn’t really live up to much! Was warm but by no means hot and the website would leave you to believe they have a large selection of veg however there was only carrots, green beans and cauliflower cheese. No gammon, lamb, broccoli, parsnips or cabbage as the website states a little disappointed if I’m honest!!

User

Steak was lovely as were the home cooked chips, but unfortunately the burgers tasted quite cheap and made of poor quality meat. We’d of rathered less of a big burger and a far greater quality of the meat. Unfortunately had a disagreement with the staff about the taste card, it clearly states 50% off total food bill yet even showing her this she insisted it was buy one get one free & excluding sides. So for three of us (with 2 taste cards) it did cost far more than we were expecting. After speaking to taste card, she was wrong & we over paid for the food! Lovely area and nice building though. This wasn’t my first visit & I have to say the first visit was far better (still had a little issue with taste card then too but it was sorted then)

User

Sorry the Honest Miller in Brook but I have just had the worst Sunday roast...they even charged us the same amount for a veggie Sunday roast..which was basically vegitables £12 for a plate of veg and 1 yorkshire pudding, meat was cold, veg was cold and didn't have a table ready..even though we booked..

Wont be going back there...£12 for a cold Sunday roast..

User

We visited yesterday for lunch having never been before and what a little gem !! Lovely peaceful surroundings a warm welcome as well as food to die for. The staff are very friendly nothing was too much trouble and the food amazing the chef/ owner was the head chef at Claridges in London so speaks for itself. To top it all a set lunch with all fresh local ingredients for £10 for 2 courses and £15 for 3 courses this place is an absolute must and we will be returning again and again. Thank you for an amazing lunch 😊
