What a fantastic place with very friendly people, a great ambience and really tasty food with a great menu. My partner and I visited there for the first time to celebrate our anniversary on the 21st September 2016. A waitresses heard it was our anniversary and arranged for the chef to write happy anniversary on our plates as a surprise, it was a lovely touch to what was already a great night. The only problem is, it's not local to us which is disppointing as I'd love to visit again.

What a fantastic day Ascot was. The breakfast was just lovely. Then we went on the coach where we where feed snacks and unlimited processco. Upon arrival a delicious lunch then after races cheese strawberries and port. The staff worked extremely hard all day and where very attentive to all our needs. A lovely day .

Went for Sunday lunch today with my husband, soon as you walk in you are welcomed by a lovely smiley barmaid, we hadn't booked a table but she found a table for us, I had lamb hubby had pork absolutely delicious then onto desserts i had bread and butter pudding hubby sticky toffee again delicious both courses well presented and plentiful, will definitely be returning, thank you for an enjoyable lunch

We went to The Hop Pole for my uncles 70th birthday meal. We had a lovely evening, could not fault the place, lovey staff, amazing food and great atmosphere definitely recommend. Everything was presentated well and tasted good and my mum was gluten free and they were very accommodating! They even made a lovely birthday sign in chocolate sauce on my uncles pudding plate!

We booked a table at the Hop Pole on the recommendation of a B&B nearby. We'd spent the day on the Severn Valley Railway celebrating my wife's birthday. We were delayed by an engine breakdown but when we called ahead to say we'd be late they were happy to hold the table. We received a warm welcome on arrival and enjoyed a fabulous 3 course meal. This was topped off with the arrival of a plate containing a chocolate sponge cake with cream and decorated with Happy Birthday. The perfect end to an exciting but tiring day. We're so impressed with everything - food, service and friendly atmosphere - that we wish we lived nearer. We WILL be back though!

Popped in for lunch today with our little one and the Hop Pole was busy with diners. I literally booked the table 5 mins before arriving and they got us a table to place our pram by, great stuff! Usually come to the Hop Pole for dinner but we arrived for the lunch menu and my lunch was fabulous!! Had the Club Sandwich and it was a delicious and filling!! Dad had Fish and Chips and his partner had the Salmon Platter and both meals were tasty. We arrived towards the end of lunch service and were told there would be a wait. Which is fine by me as it shows a busy pub and the food is all freshly made. Thank you Daren, Louise and the team x

We visited on a busy Sunday lunch, we all really enjoyed the food, much better than your average pub grub, the ingredients are fresh and local and the menu is well thought out. The food is presented beautifully. Portions are just right so you can have three courses without feeling over stuffed. Great value for £19.95 for three courses.

My only constructive feedback would be that the staff seemed so busy you lost the personal touch as they all seemed a tiny bit rushed, and some of the food wasn't very hot when it arrived. But it was overall so lovely they are small points in an otherwise very satisfying meal.

Haven't been to the Hop Pole for years as I moved out of town. Came in for dinner with my mum for her birthday and I can honestly say it was one of the nicest meals I have had in a long time! Lovely friendly staff too. Already recommended it to friends.

First time for me visiting this lovely pub with friends - Sharon & Tim. We were greeted with a very friendly welcome by the charming landlady Louise Bale Who showed us to our table. There were 5 of us in total and we all had very yummy delicious starters, mains, and desserts. Omg I can honestly say the Sunday roast was probably the nicest roast dinner I have had in a very long time. The vegetables were perfectly cooked, and the roast tatties and Yorkshire pud were to die for. Being an ex chef I am very fussy about the quality and taste of my food, but full stars and 1st class effort for such a delicious lunch. All the staff that attended to our needs were very polite and helpful at all times and nothing was ever too much trouble. I most certainly will be coming back again to this gem of a place in Bewdley for more of the same. You will not be dissapointed! Thank you Lou. ��

Came for our first date 15/12/16 had a beautiful meal and great service , so decided to return for valentines 14/02/17 again fantastic food and service and lovely entertainment , would love to come again for valentines this year as when we wanted to book for our year anniversary you had a finger buffet on so couldn’t book for a meal unfortunately, we have made lovely memories so far and will continue to use the hop pole for our special occasions �

Been here a few times before, never disappointed. Went last night for my wife's birthday. Different starters and different main courses. Food excellent, staff very good. Fun listening to the couple behind trying to outdo each other about places visited. Must say wine could be better priced (Jack rabbit) I drink the same wine at other venues and it's £5 cheaper. Will certainly be back.

Always lovely....lovely setting and décor....lovely people and lovely food.

Absolutely love this place � we don't come to Bewdley much but when we do this place is always where we come for food, amazing atmosphere, great staff and tasty proper home cooked food is just what you need after a long week at work.
