Terrible draughts from front doors when eating in both restaurant and bar. Food excellent , chefs brilliant, pity it's so cold in there.
Rooms very good pity there's no water for a shower in the mornings.

Great food and environment. Very helpful staff with gin suggestions. They have local ones. There are two halves - one very bright and spacious, the other more intimate and cosy - right by the wood burning pizza oven

Lovely food, Sunday roasts come for you to carve to the family, great idea! Tasty and quick.

Vegetarians and children not welcome here. Food pretty good but badly presented by inexperienced staff. Meat came on a block of wood for some reason, vegetables were presented in various fussy and unnecessary serving plates. Tea was served on saucers that didn't match cups, so cups wouldn't sit without wobbling. Tables were sticky as if not cleaned and were too close together. Waitress suggested I split my meal and my daughter have some of mine, rather than provide a child's meal. Charged the same for two vegetarians who had the carvery without meat and refused to reduce price for them, falsly claiming that they had more vegetables. I just paid and left as they were clearly enjoying winding us up.

Popped in for lunch today. Dog and child friendly. Excellent fish and chips. Service very good. Highly recommended.

Absolute Gem of a place ,rooms were immaculate and very nice . The food in the attached Italian resteraunt was the best I've ever experienced. Also dog friendly and lovely log fire , staff very friendly and helpful. Overall a lovely experience and will definitely be coming back
