Ate lunch there with family. Lovely welcome on arrival. Table in the window with superb Autumn views. Cutlery sparklingly clean. Attentive but unobtrusive service.Three choices available for each course. Each course beautifully presented and just the right quantity. Not expensive either.

Have stayed at the horn of plenty a number of times over the past few years, always while away on Business. The rooms (particularly the superior rooms in the new building at the back) are fantastic and if you can get one with a view over the Tamar valley then you will likely be rewarded by being able to watch a beautiful sunset from your room. The food at the hotel is exceptional and the dining experience is very pleasant and relaxed. The only downside for me is that they do not start serving breakfast until I think 8am (it might actually be later than that) which means when away on business and leaving earlier than 8 for meetings you can't dine in the restaurant for breakfast. The staff are always very accommodating and will drop off a selection of continental breakfast items the evening before so I can have breakfast in the room before leaving.

Lovely afternoon tea with great views

Really lovely rooms, very nicely decorated and comfortable. Had a taster menu for a work Christmas do and the food was lovely. A little slow with bringing the wine with the course direct he first 2 courses but the restaurant was very busy and the timing was brilliant after this.

Beautiful location in the Tamar valley. Lovely traditional country manor hotel. A wonderful location for a wedding.

Attended this venue for a wedding. Staff were very friendly and dinner was good. Perhaps a little too posh for my taste and the portion size left a little too be desired but a great experience overall
