Top real ale pub, you can't go wrong loads of choice
This has been Nottingham CAMRA pub of the year for very good reasons as well as great ale and cider all the big sports events can be enjoyed on a big screen with great food.
One of my favourite places to visit. Fab for real ales, good wine and decent food too.
No other public house offers the choice and quality of real ales that you do, bloody marvelous. A great location and atmosphere for watching those very important sporting events, the SIX NATIONS. All now accompanied by tasty pub grub from mine host, thank you.
Lovely atmosphere in pub, friendly staff. Accomadtiom very clean and nice. Would stay here again. Excellent value for money.
It has great selection of real ales and fine still ciders and also does quiet a good spread of food
I came across this delightful inn on Trivago and booked a single room for the nigh, as I was visiting my daughter in Nottingham. Although the only point I went into the bar was to book in.
I met Gilly who showed me the facilities available for me to use and gave me a list of things such as emergency numbers and wifi codes and most importantly, my room.
The room itself was exactly what I had booked, a single. It was comfortable and had a TV, mini kettle (with tea, coffee and sugar) and mini fridge plus a wardrobe.
I literally only paid £25 for a nights stay, which I found excellent value for money. Enjoyed my stay and I definitely recommend.

Always a warm welcome despite being muddy cyclists!! Great choice of real ales and lovely bar snacks 😀
3 of us stayed here for 1 week , upon arrival manager greeted us and showed us to our rooms which were clean tidy and comfortable. We had a drink in bar every evening and found all staff pleasant and beer good. Excellent selection of real ales and lagers. Although only sandwiches pies and pasties available at bar there's plenty of takeaways and a co-op nearby within walking distance.
stayed here as a last minute ,,, staff great ,, pub very friendly and clean
This. Is a very good place to stay very clean and tidy .staff very helpful will be staying there again pub had a great atmosphere
Nice bar with cask ales lager cider etc. check in prompt the manager took the time to show us to our rooms and explain everything which was appreciated. easy access through pub or side gate from street which has a code, then separate secure entry to rooms above which are nice and clean the room is basic with a large TV wardrobe and small fridge kettle and tea coffee if required they also supplied with towels perfect for a night stay also 3 or 4 showers plus toilet which are shared but were clean. The bar was busy with rugby being shown but my son and I managed to get a seat in the large back function room to watch the rugby. I think they do bar snacks etc but we had a short walk down to Wetherspoons for our main meal checkout was easy just pop the keys in the box on the way out. overall £25 for single room only is good value. PS they do have free parking up the road . would use again
Lovely pub, very friendly and welcomes dogs. What's not to like?
Lovely atmosphere, lovely people and doggie friendly too.
We love the choice of real ales but the last couple of times we've been we have been dissapointed in the awful smell. It's a combination of stale ale and toilets it' was especially bad last night not sure why? it's very off putting.
