There is a very good reason we have been coming here twice a year for last 10 years. Staff are fab, food is delicious and our dogs always made welcome. Love it and highly recommend it

Best lamb I ever had. Great service, we didn't have a booking but they made a space for us. Cosy place.

Food fabulous and lovely view outside so we decided to eat at the rear outside. All the tables and seats were dirty and hadn't been wiped down from the night before. If they had been clean I would have given 5 stars!

Stumbled across this little gem on a drive through the lake district. Lovely place nestled behind the road just below the hills. Very authentic atmosphere that is clearly popular with the locals. I had the Cumberland sausage ring with chive mash and gravy, it was scrumptious and went down very well with a Crabbies. The staff were very friendly (isn't everyone up north haha) and the location was breathtaking. I would definitely go out of my way to visit it again.

It was an absolutely fantastic stay. Highly recommended if you don't want to be stuck in tourist filled place. Beautiful country side and good food. Extremely friendly staff.

Lovely food and a good selection of beers. Quaint, Oldy worldy, however you want to describe it, it's a really nice village pub with excellent grub.

Good traditional pub grub. Recommend the sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fudge cake.
