Tripadvisor this morning:- 'Another 5 XXXXX Sunday lunch Starter, plaice goujons, lovely. Wife had figs, interesting and enjoyable. Different from the norm. Excellent. Carvery Sunday Roast....hmmmmm Deserts, upside down pineapple cake light @ tasty + chocolate cake double lovely. Staff efficient and pleasant. Food, a joy. This place manages to produce good quality food at reasonable prices CONSISTENTLY. Which is why its full of happy customers. It's not rocket science, just consistent attention to detail, high standards and quality control. Long may the Shoe flourish.

On our specials today, one of our Chefs Chris has put together Barbeque pulled pork and a Pineapple ‘slaw in a fresh Brioche bun with sweet potato fries! Come and have a try and let us know if you think it should be on our menu all the time, I do! 🤤

TRAFFIC UPDATE: please be aware the B1043 between Godmanchester and Offord Cluny is closed between 9pm this evening and 7pm Sunday for works. Wonderful menu (the ribs are outstanding!) and many delicious meals are gluten free. Staff are observant to your needs but also leave you to enjoy your meal. Caters for the whole family with a large outdoor sitting area and a proper children's play area. Plenty of parking on site. Would highly recommend The Horseshoe Inn . Looking forward to my next visit.

We have had a lovely lunch today at the Offord Shoe. We were warmly welcomed by the staff despite having not booked and it being the busy Mothers' Day weekend.



They also catered very well for our toddler with all the necessary baby cutlery, cup, plate etc and chatted to him, putting him at ease and lending him a toy bus to play with to keep him occupied. It made for a very relaxing lunch (not often possible with an almost two year old in tow!) The food was really good too.



Couldn't fault it and we will be back!

We enjoyed our first meal at what will soon become our local pub and it is guaranteed to become a household favourite after its début performance!

The food was fabulous (and yes we did pinch from each others plates to ensure we could say this about every course we chose :) ), service understated but friendly & helpful and the atmosphere was relaxed.

We look forward to returning to test the other ales, menu options and the apparent excellent Sunday roast.

Very friendly staff. Really nice relaxed atmosphere. Husband had mushroom burger with chips. I had cauliflower steak. Was really delicious but I would say it needs something with it such as potatoes as it’s not that filling. I had a side order of their delicious chips. Truly delicious. Puddings also very good. Would definitely recommend and hope to go back 👍🏻

This was our 2nd visit to The Shoe, this time for our 20th Wedding anniversary and we were served excellent food in their warm and attractive restaurant, our waitress was friendly and attentive. We will certainly visit again

Superb carvery- best in the area.... that’s why you have to book in advance... the chef is particularly friendly- and helps to make an very enjoyable experience. I love this restraunt and would go no where else for a sunday lunch carvery.

Sunday Carvery for Mother’s Day, simply the best. Friendly staff, the chef was accommodating for my fussy son and we had a lovely meal. Highly recommend.

Our anniversary and we were made to feel very special, the food was amazing and the service was superb. What a cozy atmosphere and wonderful service.

Not only does this pub always look so beautiful, inside and out, the staff are very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The food is always of a 5 star quality and quick service. A great family pub. Can't recommend this place enough and we cant wait to go again.

Lovely meal with my brother and family. My sister in law has several food allergies but with 48h notice Richard prepared a separate menu with 3 choices for each course all printed on a special menu for her. Amazing service. Thank you �

I would like to say a massive thank you to the staff at The Shoe for fitting us in today last minute (13 people!!), when the pub we were suppose to be going to didn’t have our booking noted down! ��.

I with my family have been regulars at The Shoe for a few years now. We enjoy the wonderful carvery often, you cannot beat it. On the 14/11/16 we again reserved a table to celebrate a landmark birthday at The Shoe. The food was superb and the choice on the menu ticked a lot of boxes for the family. Richard and his team deliver first class food with excellent customer service. I am very critical about customer service, I have yet to fault it at The Shoe!!! Well done to all the staff!

Friendly attentive staff, good portion sizes of superbly cooked food, a good selection of dairy free and gluten free dishes too

Delicious sea trout, cooked to perfection, cleaned my plate!! Pistachio and apricot frangipane tart with rose water Chantilly cream was just divine���

Popped in for a Light lunch with my brother. Good food, good bar and wait staff. Waitress knew what a sfoggato coffee was. Very impressed.

Had Sunday lunch here for Mother's Day and had previously booked - which was a good job as the place was very busy. Suspect that it is busy most weekends and so would recommend booking in advance.



Food and service was to a good standard - we had a carvery meal, which was to a very good standard - the only slight downside being the length of the queue waiting to fill their plates. All the vegetables looked freshly prepared and cooked and tasted very good. Staff were friendly and courteous and we enjoyed our visit. Would come again.

Food when it arrived was lovely - 'shoe burger and fig, blue cheese and walnut salad. Staff are really helpful and nothing was too much trouble for my tea drinking hubbie!
