Yesterday the Pritchards (Fiona, Kevin, Marcus and James - pictured) started their mammoth 1100km bike ride through France from Orleans to Biarritz. They’re raising money for Bowel Cancer UK and the Hospice in memory of their brother/brother-in-law/uncle Malcolm. Here’s the link if you’d like to read their story and make a donation https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fund…/ showROFundraiserPage… Good luck guys and thanks so much for your support! #Weloveyoursupport

Congratulations to Anne & Brian Lake who recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They kindly asked for donations to the Hospice instead of gifts because "at our age, we don’t need anything!" Anne, a Hospice home box collector, said "everyone said we were too young & it wouldn't last" when they got married - they're definitely proving those doubters wrong! Thank you for your support and best wishes for the future. #weloveyoursupport

We'd like to share this lovely feedback from Hilary who stayed in one of our beds recently. She said: “Although I’ve not been well whilst I’ve been here, it has been one of the happiest times in my life. It is such a beautiful place, so peaceful with smiling people and beautiful gardens. Everyone has been extremely helpful and friendly and you are made to feel very special. When you are confronted with illness, it’s wonderful to feel so supported.”

What an incredible place and with the most amazing staff from the Doctors to all the wonderful volunteers. They looked after my Mum in her last week's and made it an incredibly special time. We will always be eternally grateful to the Hospice and will support them to enable other families to experience their wonderful care.

User

There are no words to express how wonderful this place is, or how incredibly kind, caring and supportive the staff are. You made our beloved Nan Joyce's final days ones of comfort and peace when she stayed with you in March 2015. We can't thank you enough for that.

User

The most wonderful place. Looked after my beautiful mother in her final weeks. She knew what she liked and wasn't afraid to say otherwise, but she loved it there. Always commented on the lovely views or how they accommodated for her needs food wise, as she was a vegetarian. Lovely staff, beautiful space, just wonderful. Even let me stay the night with full support on her last night! Thank you very much. xxx

User

Thank you.....2 little words but they are said with heartfelt thanks to all the staff and volunteers at this wonderful place. My Alfie stayed here on three separate occasions, two were to get his pain back under control but unfortunately on his third visit in June we lost him. He always said that the hospice was the next best thing to being at home. We as a family will never be able to repay you for all the love and care he received but we take great comfort in returning to visit his leaves on the Memory Tree. Thank you from all the Bannerman family

User

A thankyou is not a big enough word for taking away the pain and suffering of a lovely lady in her final hours surrounded by close friends, family and her dog Dizzy. I wish she was still here but she's not. The compassion shown by the Hospice staff was truly heartwarming. Thank you x

User

A change of plans after we were taking my uncle out for a bite to eat, we ended up getting a takeaway at last minute!l as we were unable to get transport for wheelchair access! The staff were amazing and couldn’t have done anymore to accommodate 13 of us in and able to sit together in the dinning room, giving us plates, cutlery and additional table so we could all sit together! Amazing place but couldn’t be amazing without the staff and volunteers who run the centre! Thank you from not only me but from Tony’s family too! X
