The Hunters Inn is a hidden gem ...thoroughly recommend a visit to this wonderful Hotel and a must to explore the stunning coastline!!

Sunday lunch had the beef and everything was perfectly cooked and tasty what more do you want oh and a pint of exmoor gold excellent.

Stopped for lunch while out on a walk. Three of us had the pie and vegetables and one had the beef burger & chips. All perfectly cooked and tasty. Rounded off with real ale & cider. What more could we ask for!

My family spent the weekend for my sisters wedding, we could not be happier with the venue. Accommodation was to a high standard, comfy beds, the food was exceptional, breakfast, lunch, dinner and cream teas, are great!

Views of the valley are beautiful as well as the gardens.

Had dinner there tonight whilst on holiday, and the food was magnificent! The hunters chicken pie was divine, and the chocolate brownie was beautiful. Exceptional looking building & lovingly presented. Friendly staff, wish we had found it earlier on in our stay!!!�

Great staff, venue and food... clearly well run

From making a last minute phone call Friday for a 1 night stay 4 the wife - me and the dog I was impressed. On arrival we was greeted very well - taken to our room we was asked if we needed help with luggage but we didn’t - and then we did a evening meal where we was more that pleased the staff and service was fantastic 👍🏻 Spot on - Breakfast another great service from staff- very polite and on form.



First time we stayed we were happy 😃 and enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely gorgeous cod and chips! The apple and pear crumble was naughty but very very nice!

Saturday night stay. Arrived at 12. room was comfortable. Clean and a clean fresh bathroom. After a long walk had lovely fish finger sandwich, salad, fries. Dinner was excellent sat overlooking the grounds. The Breakfast is well presented and quality ingredients. Stayed with our dog. Would recommend.

Loved the location ( who wouldn't) Rooms are comfortable with amazing views. I agree with a previous comment that a residents lounge would be nice. The only real criticism is that having stayed twice a year apart the evening menu needs updating/changing, and although the it's nice food it's quite expensive for quite a basic menu ...but breakfast is delicious !

Food was great though we were at the tail end of lunch so a few things were no longer available. Staff could not have been nicer though. Lovely location and afterwards we walked down to Heddon’s Mouth through the forest.

Both dinner and breakfast were great ... food to a high standard. Our room, with four poster bed , had good views from the front of the hotel. Awoken by the beautiful sound of he peacock and the stream ... we would recommend staying in the great pub !

The location is gorgeous, & the staff are lovely. Unfortunately apart from the very basic pub tables & chairs in the bar, or the dining room tables & chairs , there is only one sofa for residents or visitors to sit on in the day/ evening. I really do think that the hotel would benefit from a residents only lounge. I have always found the food to be good, although when we last visited the oven was broken. The musical events/ quizzes are all very casual & entertaining.

Food was alittle overpriced for a sandwhich and the steak baguette didn't agree with my mum as it was greasy. But the pub itself and the staff was really nice clean and friendly service.

Food not the best .Not impressed with the price of £13 for the roast with only 2 halves of a roast potatoes, 1/2 parsnip , very small amounts of accompanying veg and 3 very thin slices of beef.
