About The Idealist
The Idealist is a design-driven magazine dedicated to hunting down the best in furniture, interior design, home makeovers and accessories.
The Idealist Description
As people who are passionate about good design, we take our inspiration from William Morris who said:
"If you want a golden rule that will fit everybody, this is it: Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful. "
We believe that in the high pressure, technology driven times we live in, this maxim from ‘The Beauty of Life’ is truer than ever. We need space where we can relax and be ourselves, free from clutter, ugliness and stress. And good design is a part of how we make that happen.
At The Idealist, we love furniture and interior design. We love travel and new experiences. We love quality and distinctiveness. We know Britain is teeming with creativity, beautiful furniture and ideas, but sometimes they are hard to find. So our mission is to bring you the best ideas, makeovers, tips for creating a wonderful space to make your life and surroundings just that little bit better.
