In celebration of World Book Day today and opening month of the restaurant, we are delighted to reveal a collaboration with local book sculptor Justin Rowe. The 3D illuminated sculpture animates the facade of our restaurant, which opens later this month on Wednesday, 14 March. The sculpture will be on display for one month in the restaurant before being auctioned to raise money for Addenbrookes Charitable Trust. Reservations for the restaurant are now open, click here to book: https://theivycambridgebrasserie.com/

What a great evening...good welcome as you come in from "behind closed doors". Good attention to detail as you go through your courses. Sorry to add this part but you can always tell a good restaurant by its toilets...wow you could have had a party there! (Well done) Only complaint felt the sevice charge is high...i know it said it was at digression but always feel "let me decide the percentage "

This was my first time at The Ivy. From start to finish we we very impressed. The decor and atmosphere were fab. Whilst a very busy Friday night, the staff were very attentive and the food was simply delicious. I would go as far as to stay our best dining experience in a long time!

User

Second visit to The Ivy Cambridge Brasserie and on both occasions the service has been excellent with delicious food and wine. There is a lovely happy atmosphere and looking forward to our next visit, would certainly recommend!

User

Popped in without a reservation after our son’s graduation, but I would recommend booking any time. Loved the airy atmosphere, decor and very attentive staff. Menu is comprehensive, delicious and value for money. I like the ‘small plates’ which are just right for a light bite. And I just found out there are other branches including one in Birmingham! I am definitely planning a visit there!

My sister and I had a thoroughly enjoyable lunch at The Ivy Cambridge today. It wasn't as expensive as I'd thought it would be - we had a 2 course lunch which was DELICIOUS. The service was excellent. I really love the décor as well …. if you get to choose a table, it looked nicer towards the back rather than in the front window. Would recommend it, not for young children (please), but for adult meals.

User

I organised my sisters 40th in the boat room last night which is absolutely stunning. Our waiter was very nice (sorry forgot his name) the food was lovely. Will definitely be back and I recommend it to anyone. Thank you

User

I dined at The Ivy with my wife, daughter and her husband to celebrate my wives birthday. From being welcomed at the reception to the end of service was a delight. All the waiting staff were excellent and made my wife feel special on her birthday. The food served to all of us was very good and different. I would like to thank all the staff for an excellent experience and hope to visit The Ivy again.

Highly pleasurable experience from start to finish. Food was first class and delicious- service was attentive and accommodating the ambiance was welcoming, lively but comfortable. Out table for 4 was well positioned and felt quite private but in the heart of the restaurant.

We will return - soon I hope!

User

Great food, great atmosphere and great service. My husband and I went here last night for our 10th Wedding Anniversary celebration. We would just have liked / expected some form special service / complimentary offering for our extra special celebration which we didn’t receive despite writing it on the booking form. Apart from that we loved the decor and interiors.

User

Good food, well presented, great staff and good prices for what your eating or drinking, all in all for a bit of finer dining worth taking a look for sure!

User

Food was excellent and service was great , came here with my Family to celebrate my Son’s graduation 👨‍🎓 enjoyed it a lot .. shame we couldn’t have a bottle of wine as we were all driving haha and gutted that you’re not allowed to take photos too .. but definitely a nice place to dine.. we’ll be visiting again if ever we’re around Cambridge next 😊

User

The food was fantastic, really very good! The house champagne and house wine delicious. Loved our table, and service was friendly, attentive but not too much. Only 4 stars because 5 is for the fine detail... ladies loos need attention... one out of 3 in service and floor was soaking wet which is off putting. Have been to The Ivy and other Ivy Brassaries in London, it’s a treat, so don’t disappoint in any way as it should be a full experience of the brand.

User

I went for lunch with my daughter. A warm welcome at the entrance and shown to our table. Plenty of staff and attentive. The decor is interesting and there were lots of people having lunch or drinks. Amazing bar. Tables a little close together so rather noisy. Our first choice had sold out as it was only 1pm this was very surprising, but the food we ordered arrived within a reasonable time, was well presented and smelled delicious. We enjoyed our meal very much and will return.

User

Had brunch on 26th May. Good food and drinks. Great service from our waiter, Yannis.

Very disappointed that two younger managers chose to give Yannis a dressing down in front of my partner, creating a very uncomfortable situation.

I look forward to visiting again, and trust that management will act professionally.

User

Had afternoon tea here yesterday. The place is nice and staff attentive. My only criticism was that there was not much savoury food (1 small ryvita type thing with salmon, 1 small 'finger' of a cucumber sandwich and 1 tiny brioche roll with chicken) so it was a bit 'sweet heavy'. However it was all very tasty.

User

Visited at the weeked with my partner, and two brothers and respective partners. Shown to our table very quickley. Drinks and food order taken very quickly, then slightly down hill from there. No signage for the washrooms, many people walking to the kitchen, this needs to be addressed. Drinks order placed, had to wait at least 30mins for a bottle of wine, this after a G&T and another drink arrived. Had to ask twice for the wine, this caused a stir between staff blaming each other for the fault. Food arrive and have to say this was very good, apart from a side dish which appeared after we had all finished, we sent it back and it remained in the bill. Asked for the 12.5% service charge to be removed AS THE STAFF DO NOT GET THIS, please be aware. We left a tip, but the waiter questioned its amount which is very good. All in all good food, but poor service, lots of staff without any direction. Trying to be Michelin star service, but no where near this. Shame as Covent Garden is fantastic.

User

Service was poor. We had to ask for service as we were sitting unattended for about 10 minutes. When we ordered drinks it took an age for them to arrive. The food was great.

User

Pop in last week for breakfast as it looked fabulous, ordered eggs Benedict with pulled ham hock and watercress with a tea. The waiter bought me coffee and there was no watercress on the plate, it was quite challenging trying to explain to the waiter that the watercress was missing, and he actually had to take the menu with him to show the kitchen. Tea came, no milk and then finally a plate of watercress cane when I literally had 1 mouthful of food left to eat!

Beautiful building, from food, that what I eat could have also have been hotter, service terrible

User

It is a very impressive new restaurant. The decor is absolutely stunning and the staff is great! The food was also delicious. However, this is definitely not a place for a date. The space allocated for parties of two at the far back is much lesser than the rest of the restaurant. The tables are separated by about 10cm. You basically sit with the couple's next to you on either side. It was very uncomfortable and awkward as we could hear their conversations and of course, they could hear ours. You expect more from a restaurant like The Ivy. In addition, I booked for my partners birthday and I mentioned if on the booking, however nothing was offered for the birthday. What is the point of having a 'what's the occasion' box on your booking form, if you're not doing anything special about it? I wouldn't go again if I was on a date. Maybe better for bigger parties.
