Went there for our wedding anniversary. Enjoyed a drink at the well stocked bar and had a table near it so able to admire the magnificent dome and decor. Very attentive staff and food excellent. A bit pricy as some have said - the 'sides' especially so. In all loved it though and will definitely go back.
We had a superb dinner with friends to celebrate a birthday. Amazing building, friendly and professional staff, and great service. The food was superb, all 3 courses top notch. There is tough competition in Cheltenham and the Cotswolds but The Ivy has definitely made their mark. Loved it so much we have booked to go back next week! My new favourite! X
We came to visit my son in Cheltenham and had the most gorgeous meal at the Ivy . It is a beautiful restaurant and from the minute you open the door and walk in the staff are just wonderful . My husband and I visited the Ivy in London and I enjoyed it there but this was a step up and absolutely lovely . The food was perfect and I can't wait to visit again when we come back down . Thank you to all the staff they know how to make your visit very enjoyable . If you are down in Cheltenham you must visit the Ivy Montpellier beautiful food x
Spent a lovely evening at the Ivy Cheltenham with friends , beautiful cocktails, delicious food and impeccable service especially from Josh , well done , we will be back very soon
Service was good, food excellent, good wine, if I was being picky 1) Iād like to have been advised that my fish dish didnāt have any veg when I ordered it and asked it I wanted any? 2) gin glasses that reflect the price you are paying for it.
My husband d and I went for lunch as a treat for our 51st Wedding anniversary. All the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was great and we even had a happy anniversary chocolate on our dessert, the whole ambience was fantastic and will definately be going again. Thank you all for making it just a little more special .
Loved the setting, the bar and the food. The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. It was our anniversary so it was extra special.
Our starters were so tasty. I had scallops and hubby had steak tartar.
Mains hubby had lobster and I had blackened cod in a sticky sauce. It so tasty, however my cod was not as hot as it should be. I felt awkward mentioning it.
Dessert oh wow, the chocolate bomb. Mmmmmmm yummy....
If you want a bit yes sir, no sir, 3 bags full sir and good food this is worth a go.... bit pricey but great experience.... šš
Had a marvellous time at The Ivy last week where we were really well looked after by the pleasant and attentive staff. The food and drink was absolutely fantastic, couldnāt fault it at all
Great food, lovely building and the wallpaper is very much Cheltenham. Staff friendly and efficient. Loved my chicken salad and the others enjoyed theirs ... although Iām told the shepherds pie, tho delicious, was a little too small. Please make this a bit larger then itāll be perfect ļæ½
Great atmosphere with friendly and welcoming staff. The choice of wines very and at reasonable prices. The food was perfectly cooked and presented, and although normally out of our budget, not too expensive to treat ourselves.
If you eat out and pay a bit more but the food, wine and whole experience is above what you expectthen it's worth it.
It was definately a meal we will remember for all the right reasons.
Fantastic service, great food and atmosphere. We ate in the central section with the high domed ceiling, truly beautiful architecture. All in all a great experience.and would definitely return.
Amazing night at the Ivy, treated like Royalty. Adam was having an especially difficult evening with his legs, but the patience and considerations of the team was brilliant and they sat us a metre away from the disabled toilet to make it easy for him. The food was just exquisite and the attentive waiters made it such an enjoyable experience. Thank you the Ivy for a great evening, Simon for organising and our lovely babysitter Emily. A very happy and contented Adam. Watch out for the review later. #adamsalsbucketlist
Absolutely wonderful evening! They were so accommodating with our two boys as we knew they wouldnāt eat an entire steak meal so they divided it for us and presents one dish on two plates. Food was outstanding and canāt waut to go back.
1st time at The Ivey, & it won't be our last. The building inside is beautiful all the way throughout. All the staff were very friendly, polite & informative of the dishes on the menu. The waiters were excellent & again very polite. The food is just so delicious, dishes not so big, but I certainly felt full when we left.
It is a bit pricy, but then what do you expect for The Ivy, will definitely be returning.
The food was excellent, which is the main thing, however expect to pay extra for side dishes or accompanying veg and potatoes Drinks were expensive and nothing on draft( not good for beer drinkers) but if you're looking for a good meal out for a special occasion it ticks the boxes- and is a special building. Nice treatļæ½
The building is absolutely stunning. Staff were very professional and service was brilliant. Had a lovely cocktail at the round bar . Once seated we waited a long time to be served and again waited a long time for our drinks to arrive. Staff did apologise for our wait . Food was lovely. Overall lovely meal in a lovely setting .
Had a lovely meal but the tipping system needs to change, adding a service charge on to the bill should not happen , as we wanted to personally tip the waiter we asked for this to be removed as previous visits we where told staff donāt get the whole of the tip if paid on a card. I gave the waiter a tip only for the service charge not to be removed surely this is incorrect
Afternoon tea. Not to busy but tables quite close together. Beautiful cushions for support but maybe to bigļæ½ Sweet part of afternoon tea was delicious but sandwiches were just ok. Fillings sparse. Personally would have liked another sandwich and 1 less sweet option. Refills of tea at no extra cost. Staff were 1st Class. Disappointed to not be in the main dining area maybe next time ļæ½
