About The Joiners Arms Bruntingthorpe
The Joiners is a delightful gastropub serving simple, perfectly cooked food. Located on Church Walk in the pretty village of Bruntingthorpe.
The Joiners Arms Bruntingthorpe Description
Stephen and Tracy Fitzpatrick took ownership of The Joiners in 2002, and since then they have transformed it from a traditional village pub into an award winning eaterie.
Even more of an achievement, they have done this while also managing to enhance the charm and warm welcome offered from this historic building.
Sat under stripped oak beams and walking on the flagstone floor, you'll be joined by local diners and those who have travelled from neighbouring counties. Along with an open fire and extensive wine list, you'll always get a warm welcome.
The Joiners are delighted to have maintained their Bib Gourmand status in the 2015 Michelin Guide first achieved in 2012.

Food was lovely too very good choice ...
Highly recommend a visit
We have been eating occasionally at Joiners Arms for several years and have recently enjoyed dinner with friends where food and service was superb.I booked for Sunday lunch for my family including a one year old and we had a very good lunch. The only point I feel needs making is that my son and daughter in law are strict vegetarian and the one offering was an artichoke risotto which they were content to order. My son makes two points, the risotto was made with what tasted like pickled artichokes which he found overwhelmed the dish and that compared with the genourous roast portions we meat eaters enjoyed, it was quite a small meal
It could be argued that they could have added some of the mixed vegetables but both felt that was not the a suitable accompiament for risotto. It is not just The Joiners Arms who short change vegetarians but something that happens in many other eateries
At home my vegetarians are very happy with just the vegetables and extra yorkshire pudding or stuffing depending on the meat I am serving and then it just means making sure that roast potatoes are not cooked in animal fat and serving a vegetarian gravy
The Joiners Arms is still my favourite place locally but could you consider this idea for Veggie Sunday Lunch and perhaps being slighly more imaginative where veggies are concerned
To quote my son ' I am a vegetarian not on a diet "
The staff were great especially with little Ruby and we will be back.
Very polite service and knowledgable about what was available, nice touches throughout, just a tad overpriced in my personal opinion, but would recommend it if you're celebrating
