The Jug & Bottle

Stopped off here for a few beers after a hard day's work, pleasant surroundings, very well kept beer. The pub would have received four stars at least, were it not for the indifferent bar staff, so only 3. Shame really.

Once again a fantastic stay in at the jug and bottle, a gem on the wirral. The hotel, service, food and friendliness is a credit to Andy and his team. Many thanks be back soon.

Lovelly food, big portions. Location is easy to find and the views from the pub are nice. Staff is friendly and looks after their customers. We enjoyed our time there.

Nice bar with plenty of space and whilst we didn't eat there the menu looked good. When a beer we wanted was off the bartender recommended a really nice alternative

Very good food and service. Enjoyed an excellent family lunch. First visit but will be going back.

Recently refurbished, very different to what it used to be, stunning veranda, great aspect on a sunny day. Beer was very good indeed, extremely well looked after, atmosphere less agreeable, bar staff indifferent. Didn't try the food.

Larger venue than I had imagined. Beautiful terrace with view across the River Dee. Food was Gastro type and the Fisherman's Platter was an excellent sharing platter. The staff were very hospitable. Would definitely go back again. In fact have already booked to go back this weekend.
