Just a few production photos from the Carmen the Gypsy. Certainly looks like its going to be an action packed performance.

In 1951 the landscape of British comedy changed dramatically when The Goon Show burst onto the airwaves of the BBC Home Service. Spike Milligan, Peter Sellers, Harry Secombe and co. brought a brand of surreal chaotic humour unlike anything that had been heard before and revolutionised the way radio comedy was produced.
With its bizarre characters, fantastical plots and hilarious running jokes, The Goon Show captured the imagination of the British public and made household na...mes of its three main stars, all of whom would go on to achieve fame across the globe.
Now, in Goon Show creator Spike Milligan’s centenary year, Apollo Theatre Company, who recently produced the 50th anniversary tour of another classic radio comedy, Round the Horne, team up with Spike Milligan Productions to bring the show to the stage for the first time.
Join us on the 10th October, tickets available online or through the box office.

Went to watch the 6 Nations England v Wales match.

Well worth it. Back again for the Scotland v England game.

Are you going to do this for the Autumn Internationals - especially England v All Blacks?

User

Went to see Sleeping Beauty yesterday - age range of our party 8 to 80 yrs - all thought it was brilliant - big thank you to all the cast

User

We went to see the panto today with our 5 year old and we all loved it. Brought back memories of when I was a chorus girl many many years ago!! Thank you and well done x

User

We adore any shows that we watch at the Key! They are second to none locally. We’ve been to the Panto for the last 5 Years and the talent, originality and music always blows us away! Would 100% recommend the Key theatre.

User

The best panto performance at the Key Theatre my two daughters and I have ever seen, 6th Jan at 7pm, the actors enjoying it more than the audience at times making it just perfect. Great family entertainment and excellent value for money.

User

So what can I say, the food was served slow, we got shouted at by the head waiter (I think his name was Basil), someone found a set of teeth in their soup and The waiter hardly spoke any English and had a rat in his pocket all in all it was an excellent night and my cheeks haven't hurt so much in like ever!!!

User

Saw the Sleeping Beauty panto last night and loved it!! Amazed at the quality this year. It was by far the best one we've seen in a long time.

User

My other half took me to see my first panto at the age of 49 on the 9th and we saw sleeping beauty. Omg what an amazing time I had and I've now got the panto bug. Thank you for making my first panto experience an amazing one , Dawn from Ramsey x

User

Got taken to the Panto for my 52nd birthday - by my mum and dad!!! Fantastic! The panto at the Key is my favourite holiday treat and this year was excellent - all the classics, + enchanting puppets, a magnificent troll and a cast of truly exceptionally talented people - cant wait for next year!!

User

Fantastically funny panto this year. Definitely the best in the boro! Nice comfy seats and always a good view wherever you sit.

User

Excellent entertainment for young and old. Not sure who had the most fun, our 6 year old grandson or the grandparents. Well to done the cast and support staff. Be back again next year.

User

Been going to watch The Panto for over 30 years here. Simply brilliant! Well done to all the cast and crew for this years Sleeping Beauty. We loved it!

User

Went to see the Russian ballet performing the Nutcracker. We all had a lovely afternoon and the Key were very good, letting us know about a demonstration using their car park and even changing the performance time to fit in.

User

Went to see White Christmas fantastic! I have to agree with other comments on here, toilets not enough, bar service slow and should open the bar at least an hour before performance. Not used the restaurant yet but may try that next time x

User

We went to see rhythm of the dance last Friday great performance and good night out

User

The show was excellent, all our family enjoyed it! The cast were all fabulous and really engaged the audience, couldn’t fault the Pantomime at all. We are already looking forward to next year. Shame the refreshment sales wasn’t so organised, painfully slow and frustrating.

User

A brilliant little theatre for the right acts. Trouble is, there are so many tribute bands on these days but not enough Gilbert and Sullivan, etc. They need to put on more plays and musicals to make the best of the venue.

User

We went to see Padfington 2 on Sunday 29th January we tried booking on line but couldn't so we saw on the website that the booking office opened a hour before a performance so because it was a 12.30 showing we arrived at about 11.45 but no open booking office at 1210 we were told someone was on there way so we started to queue at the booking office only to be told tickets were being sold up at the bar so people that arrived after us got served before us as they ran up the stairs lucky there was plenty of seats but I would not have been happy if there wasn't. The snack bag for £2.50 was a good idea and it was good no trailers before the film unlike the cinema. The coffee was warm and had to be drunk striaght away. It might be because we went to the extra showing of Paddington bear 2 and it was a short notice I am not sure but we will return to see a film again much cheaper then the cinema and if its better I will do another reveiw
