The Killingworth Castle Description
A traditional 17th Century Coaching Inn by the picturesque village of Wootton by Woodstock, Oxfordshire offering award winning food and drink, roaring open fires and a very, very warm welcome to all.
It is thought that the pub was built by a Thomas Killingworth in 1637 and it was bought by Jim & Claire Alexander at the end of 2012 and restored it to it's former glory - have a look in our photo albums to see how the pub has developed!
Join us for some delicious food created by our award winning chefs, served day and night, and lovingly created with only the finest local ingredients.
We also hold a monthly food night dedicated to delicious regional cuisine and lip-smacking foodie genres.
We also have our Sunday Social events featuring brainteasing quizzes, acoustic sets, alternative DJ nights and comedy - all free!

Is chocolate fondant the best pud of our time? A chocolate fondant must have melt in the middle 'goo' in it. Our chefs have utterly nailed their gooey chocolate fondant.
