We just followed the sound of a great band and stumbled across this pub. We stayed and had a great night

Love the beers , the food , the bands that play there ,love the staff and the general ambiance of place . One of the oldest pubs in saffron wAlden . A true joy to behold, a must .

I've personally killed over 50,000 neurons in here!!! It's my local pub, there is a pint in here for every celebration... think about it as a real man's Clinton card

A truly awesome Sunday lunch thanks to Ashley Ball his brother the chef and all the staff. This is by far the best pub in the area for food, real ale and atmosphere.

A proper old mans pub - great beer; not TV screens; no loud musik and no fruit machines - we had a pleasant stop while the ladies went off shopping and had a pub lunch afterwards - scampi was excellent
