The King'S Head Inn

Had a nice stay here, in a great location. Room was good, breakfast was great. Very nice pub and dinner was great with good service. Friendly staff, would happily come back and stay here in the future.

Room was v small but Im told they are adressing this on a refurb that's due. Excellent staff, great food, would recommend

Came for a short stay with my boyfriend whilst we were visiting friends in nearby Keswick. It's a lovely oldie worldie inn and had a lovely beer garden with gorgeous views from the surrounding landscape and the food was delicious! We would definitely return as the staff were so polite and welcoming.

I have just returned from staying at the King's Head, Thirlmere and wanted to say that although the bathrooms maybe a bit small and the place a bit dated there are many more things in favour. The staff were so welcoming, the rooms were clean and they were pleased to accommodate requests with smile. The Inn is dog and walker friendly and the views are outstanding. They were very happy to amend the menu for a vegan and created tasty alternatives. It is positioned with easy access to Keswick, Windermere and may other idyllic places. I met up with a school friend and out visit was made a very enjoyable time.

Nice place to eat. Wifi and friendly. Good beer. Nice selection of wines. Excellent food. Campsite next door so no driving worries.

Called here for a break in journey home. Good location, outside seating area as well which is good for dog owners. Not cheap for soft drinks!

Nice pub, staff are friendly and accommodating. My wife ordered the cheese board and ran out of crackers so asked if she could get a few more to finish the cheese off which they happily supplied.

Large servings of food, couldn't finish them! If you've been hiking all day you won't go hungry here. Food was decent. They didn't automatically put the set meal in as one, and therefore charged us for each dish as though it was seperate. They were happy to correct it and refund the difference though.

The four Bs I would describe this place beautiful lady behind the bar , beautiful chicken in the basket, beautiful hotel and a beautiful place first . Impressions are what matter and as soon as we walked through the door we were welcome with a warm smile definitely recommend .
