Went for the first time last night on the recommendation of a friend. Was not disappointed! Food choices were plentiful and it was difficult to make a choice as they all sounded delightful. Settled for the haddock with a delicious Dijon mustard sauce whilst my husband had his accustomed steak which was apparently cooked to perfection. I even circumvented the excellent taste of the chef and requested custard with my date pudding instead of the butterscotch sauce on the menu (as I'm on a bit of a health drive) and he obliged without a problem!

Service was friendly and obliging and the ambience of the restaurant was cosy and unpretentious. Have booked again and would thoroughly recommend.

User

We went here today for our anniversary lunch. It was the best food and service we've received anywhere in a very long time. There was plenty of choice in all courses and what we chose was beautifully cooked and presented. The decor is warm cosy and inviting.we will definitely go again and would recommend it to anyone. Definaletly worth travelling for ( we drove 30 miles)

We had a family meal here this evening and there was 12 of us including 3 little ones. We was well looked after from the start, My son was asking for an orange whilst ordering our food and the lady said that she would have a look for one bless her, and she came back with an orange which made my son super happy. And also it was my nieces birthday and they brought out a bowl of ice cream with a couple of candles and all the staff came and sang happy birthday off their own backs they wasn't asked to do this they was just absolutely lovely and friendly. My 2yo became very restless and was walking around the small room (there was just us left there) and the staff wasn't fussed and just chatted to the kids when they came through. Very family orientated and of course beautiful food. Will definitely be eating here again. They literally went above and beyond for us.

User

We ate here 3 times during our week holiday and every time it was excellent. The menu was a little varied each time. We were made to feel very welcome as were our dogs. We were offered the same menu as the diners in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. We will definitely be returning next time we are in the area.

User

Visited for the first time today we sat in the bar area to eat as we had our dog. Food was great, you could tell it was all home made. People behind the bar were really welcoming. We will be back.

User

Took my mother for a meal today we were very impressed. Highly recommended.

User

This was our second visit to this lovely place as before the food and service were excellent, we were meeting up with friends and all four of us were impressed, menu choice and specials board were great, we will return when next in the area

User

This was 5 star service, 5 star presentation and 5 star cuisine. Can't remember the last time I enjoyed a meal so much. We were a party of 6 and everyone of us had a different meal, and all thoroughly enjoyed it. Such friendly service. Will definitely make this our regular and favoured place to eat.

User

My partner and I first discovered this little gem in December. We’ve just been for the third time tonight! Amazing as ever. So full because, as always, we could not resist indulging in all three courses! Fantastic staff too!

User

It was my Birthday on the 12th,and my mother-in-laws on the 14th.so we went out for dinner at the Kings head.My brother-in-law recommended it.We weren't disappointed.3 of us had the Beef pie,it was lush, the pastry was perfect and the Beef melted in my mouth. The other 3 in the group said their meals were lovely as well. 6 Meals 1 dessert and drinks for everyone, 90 pounds well spent

User

I re visited The Kings head with friends and yet again received a warm welcome from the amazing staff headed up by Jane. The food was stunning, fine dining and my guests impressed. Highly recommend it, I came from Dorset but if in the area it is THE place to eat.

Many thanks chefs and team.

I love Tealby, it’s my happy place. So when we decided to get married last minute I knew I needed to have the reception at The King’s Head. You guys were absolutely amazing from start to finish, and even though the good old British weather scuppered my garden party vision, you made it perfect - the amazing brownie tower cake, the food, the lay out....it was relaxed, fun, and just what we wanted. Thank you so much. Kate & Lee xx

User

Hats off to Jane and the awesome team at the King's Head in Tealby for facilitating such a perfect day for our Bricktree Gallery Painting Masterclass featuring Jonathan Marc Mendes. 10 very happy painters received a warm welcome to Tealby and Lincolnshire and the food and service were just fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and Jane, you really helped take the stress out of a manic day for me - I can't thank you enough. Great events venue!

User

Had a lovely meal here today staff was really helpful, thoughtful and very friendly and food was lovely will definately be going back

User

Great food and beer in a great village with so much history. The staff are very friendly if it does have one little problem I'm 6' 2" but some of the beams are a little bit lower - So duck or grouse - will go again when I'm up in Lincolnshire

User

From start to finish a perfect experience! We walked and was made to feel welcome by Thomas behind the bar, professional, friendly and helpful. We were taken to our table by Sol nothing was too much trouble. Janye looked after us through out our meal which was cooked to perfection!! If you are looking for a country pub look no further, if I could score a perfect 10 this is the Place to go. Wonderful service, wonderful experience! Thank you the kings head tealby.

User

Beauiful place, excellent choices of gorgeous food, very friendly warm service from Sol and John and also the lovely ladies ..Very highly recommend everyone to try this place..It an absolute gem

User

Bar staff, catering staff and management were all very friendly and accommodating, the pub is set in the lovely village of Tealby yet they were more than happy to set a table aside for us (4 adults & 2 dogs) on several occasions and waited on us with friendliness and an excellent menu

The food, a small set menu and large specials board was superb, between us we tried much of what was on offer over 3 visits and we all enjoyed every wonderful mouthful

I would highly recommend this lovely establishment

Amazing stop off today whilst out exploring the Wolds. We didn't book when we arrived and it was very busy so fearing the worst a young lady approached and accompanied us to a table where I opted for the homemade pate. Mmm didn't disappoint . Even the fussy eating wife joined in and commented on how nice it was. Main course was brought to our table. I opted for a chicken Sunday dinner and the wife opted for a Pork Loin dinner. We also asked the young man serving us if we could both have an extra jug of gravy. The meal was excellent , portion size didn't disappoint either. I managed to finish mine and a little of the wife's (well you can't let a Yorkshire pudding go to waste can you ) . Saving just enough room for the pudding I chose the Strawberry and white chocolate cheesecake with icecream . Couldn't fault any of the meal and the staff were second to none . Very polite, obliging and chatty. At a price of £35 including a glass of wine for the wife and a soft drink for me I would say a very good meal and value for money . Well done the King's Head. I couldn't recommend you more highly
