The Big Fat Quiz of the year is finally here! Hosted by the lovely Sam Munnings from Let's Get Quizzical, we invite you to come along for booze, festive cheer and a range of questions from all over 2018!
Let's Get Quizzical has a new game to play alongside the quiz! Open the Box is a game of chance, there's 12 keys to buy but only 1 will open the box. We'll be selling keys for £5 each! One per group! Fingers crossed! Winner takes the kitty!
... Continuing after the quiz we'll be playing music to keep you boogying into the next year! The pub has some great views of all over Bristol, so you'll be able to see the fireworks from the warmth of the pub with a drink in hand!
The quiz will be held from 5pm until 7pm and music will be played from 7pm until late.

Went here last week, done a surprise birthday meal for my other half. Really lovely staff and not bad prices for food. The food was beautiful. Definitely go here again.

User

We popped in for lunch yesterday for the first time , we we're delighted with our food .

I would 100% recommend this place , great food ,great people ,great places .

User

We had a lovely Sunday roast of beef omdays I've never seen a Yorkshire pudding so big! Was recommend this pub by friends definitely will be going back

User

Traditional from the outside and a breath of fresh air inside. Family friendly. A pub for all ages and occasions

User

Thanks to everyone at the Knowle for looking after us yesterday for an impromptu wake and buffet. The food was great as ever and your sensitivity and hospitality made a difficult day a little bit easier. Sorry we cleaned you out of scotch eggs but they were yummy! Thanks again The Newman Family & friends x

User

Had Sunday lunch and it’s was brilliant! Food, drink, atmosphere, service and price is just right! Great work everyone at The Knowle!

User

Great refit, shows off building at it's best, views across Bristol are amazing. Recently ate on a Saturday evening with family; 7 of us with several different dishes being chosen, cooked to perfection and thoroughly relished by all. Have also just gone for puddings on a Sunday evening, although current offerings are delicious, would like a couple more traditional offerings for fussier eaters !!

User

Great food! best roast I've had in a long time! Staff are really friendly and has a nice atmosphere :) defo recommend to anyone

User

Fab place for your works Christmas do - the turkey and cauliflower cheese were just the best, and the staff were attentive and wonderfully friendly.

User

Best Sunday roast I've had in a long time and that includes Pony and Trap the Sunday before! Beef melted in the mouth! Good range of veg all of which tasted amazing. Had to taste my partner's dessert of banana split despite being full and waiter was right it was heaven!! I will be back!!

User

Been here many times. The Sunday Roast is exceptional. Generous portions, well cooked food and superb originality with veg and sides. Extra gravy at no cost. The turkey and pigs in blankets was immense. Remember why I love Xmas Dinner so much. Staff are amazing and very hospitable without being overbearing. Great beer too with Old Peculiar on tap. You won't find a better roast dinner in Bristol. If there is I haven't tried it. A family friendly pub I'd spend all day in if I lived on the surrounding roads. Four people ate and drank for under 80 quid. Very competitive

User

Went there for dinner tonight - this is the first place that I have found to suit all our family's needs. My vegetarian mother in law was suitably impressed with the vegetarian options, my husband was thrilled with the portion size and I was incredibly happy with the price! Definite value for money. Lovely to find a really family friendly pub, although the baby changing facilities leave something to be desired. It is literally a changing mat to go on the floor from what I saw. Otherwise a throughly enjoyed meal and we will be coming back!

User

Lovely pub that I only just discovered and so glad I did. Great food and helpful staff. I will certainly be back and would recommend if you like a old fashioned community based pub.

User

I love the knowle, lovely people and good food. However, I do think that changing their only stout from Murphys at £3.70 a pint to Guinness at £4.40 is rather taking the Michael. We aren't in clifton!! Come on guys, sort it out.

User

I had a meal last night (13/12) with my husband and another couple, it was really nice. The chicken could have had more seasonal veg with it though! The sticky toffee pud was great. I would recommend the flavoured cider! Atmosphere was chilled and I will definitely be coming again. A much nicer pub than when I used to drink there in my youth!

User

Hey I think your pub is just lovely. Gorgeous decor and great food. One thing I'd love you to change is the baby changing facilities as a big group of us came in with our babies and the only option is on the floor in the ladies toilets. No one wants to change their babies on the floor in the toilet! This would be the only thing that would put us all off coming again. Just thought it would be useful for you to know, thank you x

User

Great meal last night to make up for our last trip. Staff were great and the food was tasty, we will certainly be going back after this visit. Thanks for having us and making sure our experience this time was as it should be.

User

Had a meal there last night (Wed 10th) The fish was very well cooked, the mushy peas were excellent. The only downside was the chips they were so obviously oven ready supermarket chips. Homemade chunky chips instead of micro factory ones would have made the meal perfect. A big plus to the bar staff that knew that Hendricks gin is best with cucumber rather than lemon or lime.

User

Food was ok but was a small potion for the price
