The wildlife around the cottage at Crook was amazing, green woodpecker, tawny owl, deer.... The scenery was outstanding. Had great food in Squirrels pantry at Cockermouth & Sun inn at Crook. Loved Dodd woods, where saw squirrels morning and evenings. Shed a tear when had to leave such a beautiful place!

One of the most beautiful places in England ...... so much to see in one day. Truly breathtaking scenery at every stop. Loved seeing the Beatrix Potter house and Gallery - such a treasure! Will definitely return to spend several days in this incredible place.

Lovely place to be. Except for here have never known swans to come right up to you for food at the dinner table when you are eating outside lol. Lovely place.

I think the Lake District is one of the most truly spectacular places to visit in the world.

I was hoping to go somewhere exotic on my honeymoon soon but because of money having to rethink.

Hoping to manage to visit the Lake District again instead; My dream is to buy a house on one of the lakes shores one day.

Fantastic; everyone should be lucky enough to visit at least once in their life

I love the lake district, it is one of my favourite places to visit. The landscape is spectacular. I visited the Lake District, when I was younger. It is definitely an area of outstanding beauty. The Peak District will be the next place, that I will visit.

I fell in love with The Lake District as a small child (inherited feelings from my parents who honeymooned at the Fish Hotel, Buttermere). Many childhood memories of days skimming stones, lakeside and woodland walks. Am very lucky that my brother now lives near Carlisle and we get to visit regularly.

Yesterday was our first visit to Grasmere and yet again the seceney, sunshine, pub lunch and village location were just perfect. Grasmere is just so pretty and the walk around the lake is a lovely, low level walk for all!!

Already planning to revisit next year for my 50th birthday!!

Fab place, stunning views & lucky to have stayed in a fantastic guest house too. Meadfoot guest house ( 1 of the best weve ever stayed at)

Both myself and my disabled wife love the Lake District, it's so peaceful and relaxing, although because she is mobility scooter bound we have found plenty of walks geared around people with disabilities, we have found plenty of excellent eating establishments and everyone we have met have been more than friendly, can't wait to return.

An area of Outstanding beauty! We loved the lakes, the mountains, the lovely villages and scenery. Bowness was interesting to walk around and we loved everything Beatrix Potter about Hawkshead. Just way too much to see in one day!

Absolutely fell in love with the Lake District this Easter! My husband and I celebrated our mini-moon in Rostwaite and couldn’t believe how incredible one place could be. The views are spectacular and the people extremely friendly.

We already have plans to go back next year as a year anniversary. We’re so excited to see more of what the Lake District has to offer.
