The Lakes Distillery

Great place. Beautifully presented. Staff really pleasant and helpful. Bistro lunch gorgeous. Especial thanks to Egle, who gave us a taste of elderflower gin after we had overlooked it in the shop! We bought two bottles after our meal!

What a fantastic place, we had an evening meal before my brother got married and it was one of the best meals ever. There were some very tricky allergies to some of the party and the restaurant coped very well even making specific dishes to suit. The staff were very friendly and nothing was a problem. Would love to go back!

This is the third time my wife and I have visited the distillery as we are Founders but we find out more and more every time we go. We was lucky this time as we was on a personal showing with Mike who works there. His knowledge is unbelievable so just wanted to thank you for showing us around.

Interesting whiskey distillery started in the Lake District. At the moment, they can only sell their gin an vodka, but whiskey is coming out of aging soon. Interesting visit, and tasting.

Non flavourful salad, which was too small to fill an adult. I asked if it was supposed to me a main and their manager explained that is their standard size and offered us to buy something else from the menu. Good drink.

Lovely tour of a modern distillery. Nice cafe for an after tour bite too.

Loved it! Got a guided tour bought for me... Well worth it learnt a lot about my Gin! Great staff and good food served!

Got a deal via Travel Zoo, £21 per head which included tour, tasting and a 3 course meal so was exceptional value for money, plus at the time of writing they give free cocktail on Monday or Tuesday in the restaurant. Even without the deal you would be hard pushed to get a three course meal of this quality for what they are charging.

The bistro is very impressive; new, contemporary and very elegant. Customer service was very good. Attentive and friendly staff. But it is expensive and the portions seemed a little small for the money.
