The Laptop Repair Company

Just a really excellent and straightforward service provider - they seem to be really tuned in to the home and small business user. They explain everything in layman's terms, unlike most IT companies! I know they handle lots of business clients, but they seem very happy to handle the smallest needs of individual users - and at very fair prices. I am a home-based, small business and personal user, and highly recommended the team at Crouch St. - Terry Wilson.
PS if you are worried about the security of your system and protection of your data, these are definitely the guys to talk to.

Took 6 days to locate problem, turns out (after laptop failed the second it got home and was taken to another repairer, who was half the price and got back to me within hours) that it was another issue entirely. In fairness, I was told machine wasn't fixed, that debris was causing power to short, but not impressed with time taken, or that they failed to spot the water damage that was causing the problem.

It's one of two shops in the town now (not many of them left). I find it always the same with these small places, can lead to bigger bills and more problems.
It's the going rate £50 for a look around your PC is about average.
(While were were being served a chap walked in claimed they bought a memory stick that had literally fried their machine with some type of issue)!
The pre contract agreed works are a bit of an issue, make sure you agree to what is written on it and what works are to be done, both sign there and then, leave it at that.
Its always best to send your unit back to its manufacturer.
Acer PC's for example pick your unit up via UPS and bring it back boxed and re-packaged. They do an inspection and a system restore all for £34!

VERY disappointed ....told over the phone the laptop would take 3-4 working days, on the 4th working day I called for an update and it hasn't even been looked at! Was then told to look at my slip, which said over a week! so unprofessional, wasn't apologetic! Expected better customer service from a small company! Wouldn't use again! And plastered their ridiculous service stickers all over my brand new laptop!

I have used these guys many times for laptops and iphone repairs. A good reliable friendly service. I would highly recommend.
