We was in this great pub in Manchester great beers all around anc bar staff was great helped us to get taxis for 19 to old Trafford , great back ground music what more can I say try it out

Only just found this bar the other day. Have to say the staff are A1, very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere in this little boozer is great. The Guinness is spot on too. Very tasty, very very tasty. Will definitely be back to this great little pub.

Not been here for years but really enjoyed my visit. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and the outside terrace overlooking the canal is an added bonus in the nice weather. Definitely won't leave it as long to call again.

Lovely pub, lovely beer but the most important thing to me is that the staff are consistently better than average by far. Friendly and obliging - and this view is based on my observations over quite a long period rather than just a recent visit.

Had an over night stop in Manchester and this was the local to our hotel. Very friendly staff, good drink and food. We would have stayed longer but we're off to the Apollo. Great atmosphere.

Great little pub with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Great selection of local ales and the staff are friendly and knowledgable. Great little outside area which is also sheltered. Nice variety of food which is served quickly and with a smile. All in all a lovely place.

Charming little pub that's a stones throw from Manchester Conference Centre / Univ of Manchester Sackville St. Have been a few times after meetings and conferences and the staff have always been incredibly welcoming and the beer good. The Blackberry Cascade is a particularly lovely pint right now!

Been looking for a decent local since leaving yorkshire and moving to manchester last year. This place has a good selection of drink, a great friendly staff and a wonderful space to sit, relax and have fun. Definitley my favourite bar!

Amazing, the beer was just stunning and the service from various barstaff was similarly excellent, best drink out for ages and like the beer garden all the local redbrick was soaked in golden sunshine. Young lovers and old gazed into each other's eyes, the walls were covered with historic but timeless pictures, cannot believe why I hadn't been in for twenty four years, old voices echoed from the doors and old faces shimmered through the floors. Ah, memory lane.

Always go in there when we stay in Manchester for the night, great pub with a good selection of real ales.

I used to love going for lunch but now it has gone down hill. Hardly any choice and you are waiting an hour for a boiled hotdog! Shame.

Small, cramped bar that has nothing special about it other than its age. On the plus side, the patio is okay if you can find a spot where there's no-one smoking & the prices are no higher than most bars in Manchester.

Having been camera members for many years this is the first pub to say an off beer is OK! Sorry but anyone who drinks real ale knows if it smells and tastes like vinegar it is off! An apology would have appeased
