Always a favourite when in the big smoke, great food, superb layout and good variety of drinks. Wish we had one in Keswick to save me the 90 mile round trip.

Awful awful awful. Don't waste your money. We ordered 2 cocktails waited forever then were presented with god awful tasting drinks. Swiftly asked for a refund and left.

Came here last minute on Sunday evening. We rang to make sure they were still serving food . Last orders being 8.45. Lovely service. And didn't seem bothered we were late customers. The boyfriend and I got the serving plate each ( cause we are piggies 😂) I got the hallumi chips, BBQ wings and prawn thai. All mini potions. Delicious. He got hallumi chips, pork cheek and wings but spicy. He said they were too spicy but hey everyone to there own. Will defo be here again

Nice atmosphere very good selection of beers, music at good level so can actually hold a conversation with your friends.😃

All served by friendly staff in a great atmosphere.

This place has really raised the bar & set a new standard for food & drink in Carlisle.

Nice place but cause we weren't having food we had to stand at the bar and this was 3 o clock in the afternoon

I'll start the review with my own failings first ...I went on a Saturday night at around 6 o'clock just expecting to be sat down now obviously it was busy and there was no where to sit.. which even though you know it's your fault for not booking you still get annoyed but that isn't the reason for the review its how the customer service reflects the busy nature so every time a table became free we went to sit down to be roughly told it's reserved no time just a plate saying reserved no apologies no recommendation of when and if a table will be free just basically get off the table your in my way is unfortunately how it came across. The place was nice but unjustifiably pretentious which might I add is rarely down to the bar but the customers who after paying 7 pound for a cocktail adopt the airs and graces of Prince Charles. When being from and living in Manchester centre whether I agree or not £7 for a cocktail is cheap so honestly there's no need for the dirty looks. Anyways it is what it so we left and went to eaten by monsters where you guessed it all the tables were booked however one of the staff saw us looking and found us a table where there was still half an hour before they arrived..then stating that once we are moved she will find us somewhere else and so on we apologised for not booking and for being burden to which she replied it's not a problem ..funnily enough there was no stares no abrupt replies and no plates with just 'RESERVED on... anyway.. cocktails ... the cocktails were superb and the bar staff friendly and open...I'd just add that if your lucky enough to have a venue that is busy enough to have customers left standing be nice to them as the money in my pocket is no different to Margaret who phoned and booked a table at 1 o'clock
