We’ve been going to The Lion for about 9 years and we’ve always had fabulous food and excellent service.



We’ve been many times as a family of four, as a couple and also in large groups. We went today as a group of 10. As always, the food was served all at the same time and was fresh and delicious.



It has a buzzing atmosphere, which we love.



The staff are always polite and professional and we notice the same faces time and time again.



The specials are worth a look - but regular favourites such as belly of pork are great too.



The Lion is a well oiled machine that never disappoints.

We went last night for our 8th anniversary. Never been before but loads of people said the food is amazing. Yes it was truth the food was amazing. The service is amazing fast and on the ball no messing about. I also felt the staff wasn't judgemental as some restaurant are they do look down at you. They treated everyone equal.

The food came quick and hot. At the bar there was no waiting around for ages soon as you arrived at the bar you got served. It was busy but everything was good service which I was amazed �

We did an overnight stay at the Lion Inn when attending a nearby wedding. The room was really lovely, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and a very comfortable bed.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the Eggs Royale that I had for breakfast was the best I’ve ever had, my husband’s full English was also very good.

It’s a shame that it is so far from where we live as we would certainly be regular visitors.

I went for a meal on the night of the comedy club and I have to say I was soo impressed with the staff and service, the place was full and despite this the staff were organised and on point! Fully attentive, can not recommend enough! Will be visiting again soon. Thank you and keep up the good work! �
