What a lovely place. Great staff, great atmosphere, great food and great price !! Popped in for tea as we arent from the area and wouldnt mind even popping back if we are back in the area :)

Went for a lovely family meal and it did not disappoint. All our food was hot and really tasty, the drink selection is also very good (fair prices food and drink). The lady who was serving our table was so lovely and she couldn't do enough for us. Didn't get her name but she did mention that she doesn't normally work on a Thursday and she had Brown medium length hair. Overall definitely returning �

Went for a family meal today. The food was amazing, big portions and was brought to the table piping hot. We weren't waiting ages despite ordering 7 meals! Our server was a lovely lady, really made us feel welcome. I have eaten all over the world and can honestly say this was the best service, best atmosphere I've experienced! Definitely going to be our new place to celebrate occasions! See you in a fortnight for my son's birthday! �

Pass this pub so many times decided tonight to have a girlie evening meal with my mum and two daughters(18/15) totally amazed at how cosy it is in here

Food was hot and delicious

Staff were friendly and didn't rush you from your table once you were finished.

Manager is fantastic nothing to much trouble excellent customer service from an x pub manager keep up the great service you will go far in this trade with your skills you have you can’t teach people skills you have it or you don’t! And you certainly have it �

Made very welcome, drinks came quickly, food piping hot and excellent value for money. The service was excellent and food cooked to perfection very impressed, will come back again especially as the Racecourse now changed hands to a uprated expensive pub.

Lovely place homely and staff very pleasant and cheerful thank you for a wonderful meal yesterday. plenty of it and good prices. play area for kids when the weather good outside. and I enjoyed a drink not had one for ages lol. went with my son and partner and new baby and daughter. made us very welcome.

Lovely day at Chester zoo today, just finishing off with a 20oz mixed grill and a chicken burger for Em in a pub called the Little Owl, excellent food thanx chef..... Super service thanx to the staff too

Had a meal here yesterday. Nice food, good sized portions, great price and didn’t have to wait long for food once ordered. Our waitress was lovely too, blonde haired Lady (Kelly?) very pleasant and great customer service. Would deffo come back again

Came in around 2pm yesterday with my two kids after a monster walk around Countess of Chester country park. All starving. Fantastic waitress saw us within 2 mins, drinks within 5 and eating within 15. Lovely pies, demolished by my two, and monster deserts. Quick service, warm friendly staff, reasonably priced food plus 2 for 1 is fab. A great and consistent place to go for an unassuming bite and a pint.

Brilliant Service , food was quick to come out and one of the only places I have been where all the food come out piping hot.

Although I had never been before my friend had & wasn't keen on returning due to her bad experience before here....

However neither of us could fault it.... We kindly asked how long the food wait was, it was busy & we were limited to time, Scouts run... The waitress was lovely, told told 15/20mins depending on what we order...

We both had burgers, one beef the other Chx followed by puddings/desserts & 2 drinks.... Totally an excellent price of £24.... service from start to finish was friendly, helpful with an excellent & professional atittude... Thank you & well done!! Definitely return

The pub was very very busy but we managed to get a table. The staff were friendly and polite. The food took a long time to come with them being so busy but it was hot and lovely. I dont mind waiting when the food comes out so nice. Will definitely be going again

Spacious with nice outdoor seating area and play area for kids. Great selection of food..the specials board had about 30 to choose from. Staff lovely. Order taken at the table so No queue at the bar. They have special curry night Tuesday's and steak night Thursdays. With 2 for 1 every day 7 days a week you can't go wrong. Had the lamb steak with garlic & rosemary..delicious

It was a stop off. We only had soup and a bottle of prosecco it was nice

Food was tasty (I had ribs) but service was poor!! Our food came before our drinks!!! Took forever to actually get our drinks after we asked then had to eventually go get our own 2nd drinks from the bar when no one came to our table after waiting a very long time! Staff not attentive at all!

Went for Xmas meal last night booked and ordered week's ago my choice was beef in brandy sauce .. I had absolutely no meat on my plate sprouts were not even cooked everything was tasteless then to top it off we were informed they had run out of Xmas puddings and would have to go to Morrison s to buy some... worst meal I have ever had. Think the chef must have phoned in sick. Wont be going back !!
