Towpath Trail Bike & Canoe Hire Center had the pleasure of this little guy as a customer yesterday! His first time canoeing & out with bikes! As you may tell he jumped in the canal a few times from the canoe.. and then had a lovely time being dried off in one of the trailers :) Here he is singing a beautiful song :)

Wow. What a breakfast. Well cooked. Served by super friendly staff in such a sunny environment. I didn't need to eat for the rest of the day. Will definately go again after my diet �. Also loved the tea as I like my tea strong.

Went for breakfast which we do often wide variety to choose from. Food is always good n staff are very helpful n pleasant just so lovely sitting outside n watching the world go by

We had the famous Boatmans Breakfast and it did not disappoint! We love the Lock Inn in all seasons xx

We had a lovely breakfast sat by the canel watching the barges & ducks.... so peaceful & relaxing. We came back later for a drink plus an ice cream for me which was put into a cup with a flake... hmmm yummy on a warm day.. great service & we didnt want to leave. We will be back ! Thank you.

My hudband I eat here often...food and service always good...the place is right be tbe canal, in fact theres a barge you can sit and eat in...its a very quirky pub, very hard to discribe...but suffice to say if you like the unusual then this is it..

can even eat in the potting shed...they have a large mrnu to chose from...an indoor area and outside seatinh plus a large covered area if weather is iffy....I love the place...

Love going there, always a good meal, fantastic view of the river and all the barges going to and fro. Staff always ready and happy to help. After the meal there is always the option of walking it off by taking a stroll up the tow path :)

I love this place. I have been coming here for donkeys years and any special day usually starts here. Kids, dogs, elderly relatives are all made welcome by Dick, Jane and their lovely helpers.

I had the half pound burger, absolutely fantastic, a very very close runner to Schwartz brothers in Bath, which believe me is saying something.

Huge meal,very busy pub thought that would reflect in the standard and quality of our food-well I got that wrong,food was to a high standard and delicious.Best pub meal I’ve had in a long time.will definitely be returning.

Had a great pint sitting in the lovely garden area just below the lock, so we had a great view of the boats and canal 😃

Also looks amazing with it's night lighting from our mooring, always a great view 😃

Been coming here many years with family and friends, now we are bring the grandchildren. They love it here, especially eating on the boat! Food always freshly cooked, plentiful and lovely, not had a bad meal ever. Always found the staff very friendly, patient and helpful. Enjoyed lovely thick ham, two eggs and crispy chips yesterday, sitting by the canal watching the boats passing, really enjoyed our day.

Always busy but doesn't stop prompt service. The waitress and waiters work very hard and are constantly on the move. Large choice on the menu. Tasty and very good value. Very nice to watch the world go by on the canal. We will definitely be back.

What a delightful find on the Kennet and Avon canal. Recommended in the Pearsons guide and by our boat hirers, we stopped here for breakfast going one way down the canal, then dinner and breakfast on the way back. Great choice of food, lovely personal service, speedy delivery and good price. Couldn't fault it. If I lived round here I don't think I'd ever cook myself!!

I love this place and have done for years. The breakfasts are amazing. My last visit though, I was served my veggie easybreak breakfast in a bowl...NO...a cooked breakfast should not be served in a bowl. All the food was piled in the middle with no room for eating it properly! Next time I come me I will have to request a plate. Bring on the plate revolution!!!

Not as good as last time. The breakfast was grey in colour - including the fried bread. Need to clean the frying pan once in a while... Must be hard when it's so busy, but this really wasn't a good eating experience. Will stick to the local caf next time.

Came here on a recommendation from a friend. I was looking forward to a home cooked style brekky and got a greasy spoon fry-up, outside. Reasonably disappointed, but not the worst!

Great place to sit and eat right next to the canal, but unfortunately the surroundings over-shadowed the quality of the food.

Myself an family went today never had such a bad service. Moldy bread!!!!! jacket spuds so over microwaved they had gone hard. Let the staff know an wasn't even offered refund safe to say won't be going back! Which is a shame as it's a lovely spot to walk along
