A fish finger sandwich, or Panko breadcrumbed haddock goujons with tartare sauce and lettuce in a white bap, or Greg’s lunch in a sunny corner of the dining room.
Not often seen on the daily menu, but ask nicely at the bar and the chefs will knock one up for you most lunchtimes.
Our advice to not feel like Death on this miserable Monday is a glass of @northernmonk
After a trip to the allotment yesterday, we have realised strawberry season is officially here, and at the pub we are ready.
We’ve put @frulibeer on the taps, a real guilty pleasure round these parts. We are also using new season English strawberries in our Eton mess, which is back on the menu for the weekend. (Now all we need is a little sunshine) 🍓🍓
Beef fillet carpaccio, rocket, Parmesan, capers, olive oil and lemon.
We think our greengrocer might like one of our chefs, as this morning they brought them flowers...

Aperol Spritz Sorbet
New in today are these amazing wines from @milltonvineyards in New Zealand.
Milton are pioneers of biodynamic viticulture and wine making, they have been citified biodynamic since 1984, and were the first in the Southern Hemisphere to do so.
A couple of weeks ago we were lucky enough to spend the day with @jamesmillton and get some hands on experience learning more about the biodynamic preparations.
... If you’re a little sceptical of biodynamic farming methods all 4 of these wines will be available by the glass via our @enomaticuk machine for you to try for the next couple of weeks. The proof is always in the drinking. @ The Lockhart Tavern

Sunday roasts, enjoyed earlier when it was warm enough to eat outside.
Since apparently most of you have another day off tomorrow, the chef has decided to peel some more potatoes and roast again. Yep, Monday roasts tomorrow from noon until they’ve sold out. Please form an orderly queue.
