The Lodges At Artlegarth Description
Solid Log Cabin Self Catering Holiday Lets, Sleeping 6 in comfort and space. Choose from Mallard with stunning panoramic views and woodland backdrop, Curlew has a large hot tub and great views whilst Lapwing has the sunken hot tub and whirlpool bath. Less than a mile from 3 great food pubs, local shop and art gallery. Walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing and golf are right on the doorstep, whilst there is an abundance of wildlife and birds year round with the private grounds including red squirrel, wild rabbits, fox and even the occasional deer, making this the perfect rural getaway that is unique from other Log Cabin parks.

currently still here.. a hen party of 12 in 2 beautiful lodges.. absolutely amazing place and the owners cannot do enough for you they have definitely gone above and beyond to make our stay as perfect as possible in the worst weather conditions and this has only added special memories to our hen weekend ... highly recommend 5 star plus
Wow I can't thank you enough, I have had the best weekend of my life celebrating my hen do in your stunning lodges, amazing views, log fires and hot tub � nothing was ever too much trouble. Owners go above and beyond here can't recommend it enough and can't wait to come back missing the views and lodges already I could live there �To find out that the roads had been closed due to snow the owners could of cancelled but no they made sure we arrived in style by tractor, that's an experience I will never forget
Went in January for a long weekend . The lodges are beautifully furnished and like home from home . The hot tub was amazing. Morning , noon and night !. Highly recommend for a lovely relaxing break . Booked for next year already .
We have stayed at Lapwing lodge for four nights, it's home from home , with the extra luxury touches. There was nothing we needed apart from food and drink. What a beautiful setting, Getting up watching the sheep and there new born come down the hill side, easy access to lots of interesting places if you want and plenty of nice walks. Ravenstone village is beautiful. Then at the end of the day you can relax in the hot tub, , before settling in the lovely warm lodge for the night. A big thank you Jenny the cake was yummie , lasted a few days as there was only two of us. Would love to come in the summer months . Elvis our cockapoo thoroughly enjoyed his first holiday haha
We had a fantastic time celebrating 70th birthdays from 20-27 October with the extended family. 12 of us visited and stayed in Lapwing and Mallard. The kids loved the hot tubs and the area is so quiet and peaceful. Just what we needed to chill out and have family time. Thanks Neil and Jennie. Loving the new lodges too!
We booked this accommodation as it was advertised as luxury and accessible, often the two don’t go together! This place ticked every box for us, we are a family of 2 adults, one a self propelled wheelchair user(T4 Paraplegic), me(the wife) and our 7 month old twin daughters. The lodges at Artlegarth are everything you could want and more! Cots & high chairs provided. Ramped access, accessible showers and sinks, large bedrooms, decked area, all unbelievably stylish! Each lodge has been individually furnished and the decor is so beautiful we’ve been inspired to copy ideas for our home. There was nothing that we could think of that wasn’t provided, if we could’ve thought of anything, the owners were on hand to provide it...
Without doubt the best accommodation we’ve stayed in in the UK, with most definitely the best scenery- breathtaking. Memories were made x
This place is beautiful the little touches they have for you on arrival and during your stay make your stay here that little bit more personal the grounds are well kept the lodge was clean the hot tub was amazing if your looking for somewhere to get away from the outside world have have some quality time I would 100% recommend staying here we have the Mallard Lodge it was big comfortable on arrival we had a cake, proseco on ice, fresh flowers and even dog treats for our doggie it's touches like this what make you want to go back you can really tell that the owners take pride in their business and look after what they own.

Our 2nd visit to the lodges... what an amazing little piece of magic it is... although we would love to keep it all to ourselves we would highly recommend it to everyone 😁... the hot tub is amazing the surroundings are just stunning. See you next year Artlegarth & for many more years to come.
Just returned from a long weekend, staying in the Curlew lodge with a group of friends. I was celebrating my 30th and the owners couldn't have done any more to ensure we had a great weekend. They decorated the lodge with banners, left birthday cake and a bunch of flowers-lovely. The lodge itself had everything we needed. Tranquil location, but with easy access to the village. We ate at the King's Head and it was fab. Great wee beer garden beside the river. Can't wait to re-book and spend another chilled weekend in the lakes.
Just come back from a wonderful weekend in the Curlew lodge - highly recommend - good quality family time - home from home with excellent views and surroundings - great local pubs and restaurants and the hot tub was spot on. Thank you x
I've stayed at the Lapwing & Curlew lodges 4 times now, with 2 different groups of friends. Everyone had an amazing stay. So relaxing, home from home & immaculately clean. See you next year!
I was recently whisked away to a secret location for my hen party and I was not disappointed.
The lodges had everything we needed and we were even welcomed with cake and tea.
We had two adjacent lodges between the group which worked perfectly, with beautiful views across the countryside, making lots of use of the hot tubs!
The lodges are a lovely countryside walk to the main village, where we visited the very friendly Black Swan pub - I would highly recommend a visit!
I understand that the owners were extremely helpful and supportive in the plans that my girls had in mind and went above and beyond in helping them bring it all together.
The girls wanted to create a mini festival, so the owners helped to organise a bar which was a converted horse box for cocktail making and a BBQ through their events company Happy Days which was so much fun, and even helped to find an acoustic singer to complete the festival theme.
I couldn't have dreamt of a better weekend to spend with all my girls and would definitely go back, whether it be for a girly, couples or family get away.

I visited Artlegarth Lodges with family for a long weekend. We rented two of the lodges next to each other and we had a great time. The lodges have everything you need inside and out including 3 bedrooms per lodge and a fabulous hot tub and BBQ as well as plenty of room for kids to run around and play.
Whenever we needed anything the owners were happy to help. They seemed like lovely people.
Some of us travelled from London via train, some from London via car, some from the North East via car. It was easily accessible via all routes.
Would definitely recommend staying here.
I stayed here last weekend with all of my family for my 30th birthday. It was well above my expectations. We all had an amazing time. The lodges are very homely and have everything you need and more. As it was my birthday the owners surprised me on arrival with birthday banners, a birthday cake and flowers which was such a lovely touch. The hot tubs were amazing and so were the surrounding. The owners were contactable and extremely helpful if we needed anything and were such lovely people. Can not fault the place at all. Would certainly recommend and will be visiting again in the future.
Currently still here 😬 and don’t want to leave. Can not describe how nice it is.. the cabins are homely, clean, and beautiful. The views and scenery is out of this world. Was abit worried the children would be typical children and be bored but they love it out here and don’t want to leave. This is our first visit and definitely won’t be our last. Neil and Jennie welcomed us when we arrived and at the other end of the phone if we need them. Lovely couple and very friendly/welcoming. ❤️
Beautiful location and beautiful and lodges! Was here over May Bank Holiday weekend with a Hen Party and it was perfect!
The little touches in the lodges were lovely and the standard of the facilities were definitely luxury!
We will absolutely be back soon!

Absolute little gem of a place!!! Just got back from a weekend in the Mallard Lodge....beautiful spacious log cabin with private hot tub....bbq and plenty of space for the kids to play! Neil and Jennie were perfect hosts and were both on hand when we arrived....the cake and flowers were perfect and you can really tell these guys take absolute pride in their business and so they should!!! We ordered extra hampers and bbq packs etc and nothing was a bother they were there for our arrival which made it even better little touches of yummy local produce to just nibble on whenever we liked!! We really didn't want to come home it was just so cosy and we are already looking at booking our next visit! Thank you so much Neil and Jennie for making our weekend amazing!! See you soon!! Xx
